Hi, everyone! I’ve got another fun pair of stencil sets - one of my very own Dynamic Duos™ designs - to share with you. About a year ago, I introduced my “Bridal Party” Dynamic Duos™ sets, which were designed for bridesmaids’ gifts and bridal parties. And, because they were so wildly successful, I decided to introduce a groom’s or groomsmen’s version of those sets, just in time for fall weddings!
I get into all of the details of these sets in the video. The key thing to know is that this design, like all of my Duos™ designs, is comprised of two complementary sets - a background set with pictures/imagery and a message and frame set with related messages and frames, naturally! And, with just these two sets, you can create a plethora of designs - with just two colors in this case. The need for only a few colors is another reason I love this particular design.
In addition to showing you how to use these sets on cookies, I brief you on fondant appliqué, extruding, and modeling techniques used for embellishments to go on top. I also show how to get more mileage out of a single airbrush coloring simply by adjusting your triggering and coverage through shading and outlining techniques.

How do you slow down your icing from setting up too quickly? Also, how do you reduce the amount of bubbles when piping?
Not sure I get the first question completely: When flooding the entire background of a cookie, I just mix the icing relatively loose, so that I can fill the cookie before the icing sets up (the looser the icing is to start, the longer it takes to dry). BUT, if I am piping precise details, I want the icing to set relatively fast and not to spread, so I use a thicker icing. If you watch my royal icing video, I provide a number of tips for reducing air bubbles - including mixing the icing thick to start (you won't trap as much air in the icing if it is thick when mixing on the mixer), mix on low speed, and stir in additional water (when thinning the icing) gently by hand (don't whip it in on the mixer). Hope that helps.

Have you ever considered using Patreon so that fans could support your work? That way, people wouldn't necessarily need to spend time in 1x1 call (which is really cool, but takes a fairly big commitment). If folks just wanted to support your work, or access something extra that doesn't require as much time as a videochat, then that seems like a good option.
I have - creating another video or extra for Patreon subs would be far more time-consuming and costly for me that an informal one-on-one call. The consultations are a nice option for me.
