Love that show - I just wish they gave it a different name, so we didn't have to all call it "Netflix Masters of the Universe.. no no, the OTHER Netflix Masters of the Universe.. the CGI one"
One of my younger relatives got this on Black Friday. What impressed me the most is how hefty and durable this is. Definitely a toy that will stand up to much play time.
I dig the show and really like how fleshed out Grayskull is in it. With that, I think I agree with you. It's super cool but hard to beat out the original.
Great review. Thank you so much! I got the castle for xmas but wasn’t sure about the size once assembled. Looks like it will have to stay in its box for now. Thanks again!
i haven't seen the cg cartoon, but this toy shows the actual castle as being only 50 percent of the whole toy, the other percentage is the stone base of the castle and the floating parapet spaceships, like you said, the figures don't fit inside, because if you look at the grey form of the castle, it's a tiny shrunken castle playset, and even a star wars figure couldn't fit in those tiny towers on either side of the face.
Love this review! Love this toy! LOVE THE SHOW, NETFLIX (if you're listening)!!! Please renew!! Please please pleeeeeease! 🙏 😭 The orko design on the box is interesting. Doesn't appear to be the main one from the show. Have mine grayskull arriving from BBTS soon, so maybe it looks more like the robot up close. Watching this video on a small phone atm.
Goodnight. I would like you to please answer a question for me... I would like to know how much is the weight of Castle Grayskull. Thank you very much for your answer
i tried to get my kid to be into this heman..heman in general but hes a die HARD TMNT FANATIC...everything tmnt is what he loves so im waaayyy happy with that but i wish he had alittle love for heman
I barely have space for the stuff that I have, so I don't know if I'll be picking this one up. It looks good though. I wish they would have made it open up like the original Grayskull.
This would be really cool if I were a kid today (I mean, it IS really cool) or if my kids weren't grown up now. Very cool but I'll personally stick with my "old man toys" (aka: Origins!)
Incredible, two Grayskulls in 2 years. Love this new design and the drawbridge is awesome. The sides transform as well! However the interior is practically useless and that’s a letdown.
Oh I thought of something. If you watched the show the inside of the Castle was space or another dimension. So if walk your He Man threw the door the bedroom or toy room became the inside of Grayskull if you used your imagination. Sooo this is the largest Castle Grayskull playset lol.
This is a mega mish mash of stuff and features. Imo, it’s one hell of a ugly toy. I get it young kids would play a bit, but in my xp it’s something that gets played once a fortnight and takes so much space, it eventually gets tossed. And $99??? No come on. Compare that with the Batman 3 ft tall batcave playset which sells at the same price (and was discounted for $60 online for months) and this faux greyskull comes second place any day of the week.
Looks like trash, especially those metallic parts. It's just too far removed from what Mark Taylor conceived Castle Grayskull to be. I'm not opposed to redesigning the castle, but at its core it should still retain the core elements, as it is supposed to look like it had once been like a living thing, not a structure that had been built by man.
6:49 - "... because you had so much to do inside the castle." Inside the original Grayskull Castle from 1980s? "So MUCH to do"? With what? Its two and a half play-features?
@@GeekDadLife With all respect, I dare to disagree. The "computer" and "astronaut" were just cheap cardboards; one couldn't do anything with them for real. Only to close one's eyes and imagine it. 😀+😞 The "dungeon" was non-existent; just a lame sticker on the floor. The gun on the tower didn't shoot anything, and in addition, scaled badly with the figures (as well as the whole castle did). The ladder, the flag and the weapons rack (a fully-integrated storage compartment would've been much better) also are not play-features since they do not do anything, because play-features denote some kind of REAL built-in interactivity. Example; if the abovementioned gun did shoot some projectiles or if at least its cannons were to light up when one pressed a button on the gun, then the gun could be counted as a full-fledged play-feature. Without any such function, it is just a "nice" add-on accessory WITHOUT a play-feature. The throne and trap door TOGETHER were one play-feature (#1). Then there was the elevator (#2). I'm gonna be generous and count the gate/jawbridge as a play-feature (#3), though it is just a functional opening door... "sigh"... which is like the baseline of all baselines; nothing to write home about. And lastly, yes, the training wheel shall be counted as a play-feature, but it wasn't integrated into the main build itself and could have thus been a part of any other smaller and cheaper set from the toyline, and therefore I would not consider it much as one of the selling points of the over-hyped playset. It is basically an add-on accessory WITH a play-feature (that didn't work that well, because it wasn't INTEGRATED into the Castle's floor). So the whole action playset has had like three and a half play-features.... "hurraaaaayyy!!!" 😕 If anything, I'd better go for the 'Classics' version of the Castle, or better yet, for the Mega Construx version.
The jawbridge can also be used to bite/eat action figures, that's what the lever on the inside is for. It also has a hidden lock that can be opened using He-Man and Skeletor's swords. The cardboard pieces may seem rather mundane, but at least they help decorate the interior and fire children's imagination; the Netflix playset doesn't have anything on the inside like that at all, it's just bare plastic. I also have to disagree that the throne doesn't count as a play feature, since 1) sitting a figure on the throne and 2) dropping an enemy through the trapdoor, are two separate different things children can do with the Vintage/Origins castles. Accessories like the ladder and weapons rack definitely did add a lot of play value, so I don't think it's fair to ignore those just because they don't "do" anything.
Love that show - I just wish they gave it a different name, so we didn't have to all call it "Netflix Masters of the Universe.. no no, the OTHER Netflix Masters of the Universe.. the CGI one"
Totally agree, such a pain trying to distinguish this one from others lol
Especially looking up the toys is really hard!
Yea they should of called it “masters of the large arm universe”
I just call the other one Revelations, it gets rid of the confusion.
That train scene between Skeletor and He Man was one of the most bizarre scenes in television, pretty fun show and cool looking toy!
Yeah it was lolol
One of my younger relatives got this on Black Friday. What impressed me the most is how hefty and durable this is. Definitely a toy that will stand up to much play time.
Love the angle of having actual kids play with it featured within the review.
That made me want to buy one for my daughter

Cool. Castle Grayskul okay love Dwight Jr 👍
I’m definitely getting one, sometime next year though. This year is about the Eternia playset
I understand that completely!
You think this playset would be a good outer wall/fortification for the Classics Greyskull?
Great review. Thank you so much! I got the castle for xmas but wasn’t sure about the size once assembled. Looks like it will have to stay in its box for now. Thanks again!

One question. Does it come with the Power Sword to unlock the Greyskull Castle features or do you need to own a He-Man?
It came with one! I should have called that out!
Do the CGI figures work in the origins castle grayskull? ( the throne, peg holes, size)
The more motu playsets the better!
Space danger-space danger! Looks awesome! Nice review!
Goodnight. I would like you to please answer a question for me... I would like to know how much is the weight of Castle Grayskull. Thank you very much for your answer
Really cool for a kids toy but yeah the OG is still the best. Great video 👍
Thank you!
Where do we pick one of these up at?
Amazon!
Do the CGI figures work with the origins castle
Yes!

Yeah, I think that owuld have added more play value, but it may have been redundant if it followed the same beats.

So, you're saying that it's what's on the inside that counts?
Yes lolol
@@Silverkayyy I like how Jay sounds like an old man. "Stay off my OG Grayskull lawn!!".

I need this playset. It looks amazing.

What a high quality review. Thanks!
Thanks Todd!
Looks fun which is the name of the game if i see it at retail ill be tempted
Awesome stuff man, my kids still just prefer the OG Grayskull.
Same 😊
Solid review
I think this set might have to sub as my eternia.
I FUCKING MESSED UP AND I CANT GO BACKKKKKK
AMAZON has them now for 29 dollars.
I dig it; I’ll probably pick 1 up as a Christmas gift for the kiddo - will go nicely displayed next to Gabby’s Dollhouse.
So sharp! My little neighbor needs this for Christmas indeed! 😎
Great review! It’s tempting but I’m all about Eternia! I may pick it up in the future if on discount
Thank you! and thats a good plan!
I have the Power!!!!😮
Kids need open ended play to extend playtime. Too much forced play features leave little for imagination.
Completely agree

All Kids want to do Know in Days is, just play video Games🤷🏻🤦🏻♂️
To small. Simply to small for the scale of figures it suppose to accommodate. Even looks to small with the figures. I wanted this, but it's a pass.
I mean I find all these castle grey skull and eternia play set to be childish and for kids .Just a bunch of cheap plastic

Show sucks so does castle figures look huge next to it
