- The "Enterprise Wheel" is one of my favorite classic amusement park rides! I always ride it when I see one at a park! Have YOU ridden one? Where have you ridden an Enterprise Wheel at?
This was the gold standard of crazy, scary, fun when I was growing up. I don't think we realized how special it was back then, we just enjoyed it. Such classic perfection. Thanks for posting! Next up?...the Himalaya ride?

My first one was The Spinnaker at SFOT in 1982. Love these old classic Enterprises. Great fun!
When he says he’s enclosed in a cage, no belt restraints or anything, I was like Nope!! I’d be too afraid of falling out even though it obviously wouldn’t happen with the G forces, but still looks scary to me!
ive ridden one twice lol theres no way you would fall out the g force pushes you in the cage
Even if it got stuck the car would swing out and not be stuck upside down

Some 15 to 20 years ago there were transportable versions of this ride that came to the yearly fun fair in my city (Tilburg, Netherlands). Had oodles of fun riding them - was always a sad moment when you felt it was coming down from vertical again. A good solution to that problem was to buy 10 tickets and remain seated 😁😁. Nice vid!

YES!!!!! I was just saying in another video that's the one I rode on as a young child with my friend. She was the brave on and drug me on it, twice. We could ride together.
It looks fun but my stomach feels a bit queasy just watching so I'm just gonna watch you go on it Robb it's way more fun :)

I LOVE THIS RIDE !!! I rode the enterprise many times in Coney Island in NYC ... it’s so much fun & so relaxing to me ! I also rode a smaller one in Six Flags great adventure in Jackson NJ

Hands down was my favorite ride in the park when I was finally talk enough to ride big rides. Mine was in Coney Island when there was Astroland

They have this at Lagoon in Utah, it’s super fun as long as you take Dramamine before hand haha!

Favorite flat ride ever. I grew up in the enterprise golden age and rode them at Dorney Park, Hershey Park, Kennywood, Great Adventure, Kings Dominion, Geauga Lake, Cedar Point, and Lagoon.

Rode this as a teenager in the 90’s at Camden park in Huntington West Virginia. Awesome ride but for some reason it didn’t stay at the park very long. Thanks for the video reminds of the experience I had back in the day.
I was an Enterprise ride foreman in the early ‘80s. “If you feel the need to leave a heave, lean over that left side, don’t get it on me.” I loved that machine for its hydraulic system that made the acceleration so smooth.
Just rode the one at Six Flags Darien Lake. Ran with such G's that I experienced my first ever gray-out.
One of my favorite flat rides to ever exist! The one at the fair in Winston-Salem doesn't go upside down, but still fun!!

THANK YOU! Thank you for filming and posting this!! As a teenager, I rode this several times at Magic Mountain in Valencia, Calif. during 1979-80, but I couldn't remember its name. I've periodically searched for it over the years -- even tried describing it to people (THAT got me a lot of weird looks). It's not among the current or discontinued MM-Valencia rides in Coasterpedia Wiki. BUT THIS IS IT!! I'm not crazy! (I actually skimmed thru the 400 comments here and found 3 other folks who also remember it fondly! One of them called it The Orleans, but that doesn't turn up in any MM Valencia searches, either.) This ride was the greatest. I sometimes have trouble with the fast-drop rides (for years I avoided Pirates of thr Caribbean at Disneyland after surviving that first drop as a kid) ... but this doesn't give that same queasy feeling. This one was just a major rush.. I'm so happy to have finally located it.

To this day I still love the classic scrambler. I miss the shake rattle and roll that was at Six Flags over Georgia. It was a indoor scrambler that played oldies rock classics as it the ride was going.
My Dad always talks about that ride. He said it made him sick but he thought it was cool for what it was. He loved the music aspect

The Sol Loco at Canada's Wonderland was the ride I'd go on to relax. It is soothing to me.
Magic Mountain... so many times and in a row too... it came out just a year or so after the Great American Revolution opened in 1976. Going upside down in a vertical loop was popular in any way.
A very fun and comfortable ride, great break off of your feet from walking around the park, etc.

I haven't been on one of these since January 1990. I used to love it. Can't wait to go to another park that has one and relive some great memories! The last two times their Enterprise wheels were closed for maintenance 😐

Rode the one that was at Ky Kingdom and it was definitely a fun ride. It was also my daughter's first ever upside down ride. She rode with her daddy and I could hear her squealing and laughing the whole time.
Enterprise was my first inverted ride. Loved it! If I see one I always try to have a go.
We still have ours at my home park of California’s Great America! I ride it every time I go to try to get Cedar Fair to keep it!
This is one of my favorite rides. I used to ride the one at wild world in the 80s n early 90s. Then became adventure world in the Washington DC suburbs of Md.! It’s now a six flags America. Then they also had one at kings dominion in Virginia. They both are sadly gone now. Last one I rode was at a carnival around 2000-01. I built a working model of this ride in ho scale. Will always be a favorite wheel ride of mines, next to the king “The Skydiver”!! It’s so sad to see all these classics slowly disappearing. Another one disappearing is “The Skywheel” 💖😢

No restraints needed because science! Centrifugal force is a magnificent thing! Never ridden one but it looks like a ton of fun!

I rode one in Karlsruhe in the 90ies. The centrifugal force was so strong that my friend and I (in one cabin) laughed so hard that we nearly peed on ourselves. This was one of my absolutely favorite rides.

I’ve ridden one at lagoon park in Utah called centennial screamer. In fact it was one of the first rides I had ever ridden that went upside down. I rode it before I ever got into a coaster. But I think it was because my dad told me it didn’t go upside down.
I also have ridden one at six flags over Georgia and I know that one was the first upside down ride my kid went on because I told her it didn’t go upside down.

They have one of these at California’s Great America which I live really close to and these look like they make you really dizzy but they actually don’t it’s super fun.
There's two of them in Finland, at Linnanmäki and Power Park. I've ridden the one at Linnanmäki, its a nice ride. There also used to be a 3rd at Tykkimäki, but it was removed a year ago.

I also went on that at linnanmäki, before I didn’t even know they existed and only knew them from rct2. I was like, woah! These things actually exist?! And it was so fun to ride, I think I went 5 times that day lol.
Theres an operational one at Kennywood called volcano. Super fun!

@@jjh2456 they do however it’s a different model so they only make parts for enterprises newer than 2015. Which is why Thorpe Park upgraded their Huss enterprise Zodiac. And why Alton towers also did it recently

In the 90's I rode a ride like this at Cedar point. Not sure if the ride is still there. I loved it and was shocked that there was no seat belt. Of course after riding I understood why. Very cool ride!
They just took witch's wheel out last season and put a new restaurant in for this year. It was my favorite flat ride. Was sad to see it go.
I remember a similar ride at Palisades Amusement Park, NJ. Sadly it was torn down and replaced with condos but it was a fantastic ride.

Think it was called "Orleans" in Magic Mountain Valencia. My daughter was 5 (she's 40 now) and she just loved this ride. Of course, at 5, she couldn't ride it alone. I had to go with her, 'cause mom doesn't like crazy rides. She wanted go about 3 times in a row. I had enough of it back then. LOL
The only times I've ridden one of these was Canada's Wonderland. Not gonna lie, at first I thought it was gonna be a ride I couldn't handle, that I'd get sick, and I don't even remember why I initially decided to finally try it, but I really enjoyed it and it became something I'd ride almost every time I visited, until they took it out last year.
Kentucky Kingdom had one, but it was replaced for the 2018 season by a loop coaster called Eye of the Storm. Last time I rode it was back in 2017 and the car I was in had a loose bolt, added to the excitement. :)
Greg Walker it was replaced by a Zamperla Endeavor.

I used to Ride Cedar Point’s “witches wheel.” Always loved it. It was right between Magnum and Gemini, so it was mandatory to stop at the witches wheel on your way from one coaster to the other :)
Six Flags Darrien Lake, New York it's a fun ride every time
That's the best one I have ever ridden, It seems to jerk you around a few times which makes for a more fun ride imo. Also feels faster to me than Witches Wheel did.

I think Enterprise at Great Adventure was my first upside down ride ever and Runaway Train there was my first coaster that wasn't a kiddie.

Valley fair mn and cedar point oh...both now gone. My favorite ride. Valley fair had the west Germany from huss plate on it. Miss that ride

Lagoon still has one called the Centennial Screamer. I have also ridden one at Dorney Park, the former Witches Wheel at Cedar Point and the former Orbit at Six Flags Great America.
I did in Japan. My friend asked me to go on it with him. I said cool thinking it only spun really fast (FYI I'm a total chicken when it comes to coasters or anything of this type of rides). They had 2 seater cars so I sat in the back and he was in the front. Sure enough it spun really fast but imagine the terror i had when I felt a little jerk and the wheel started lifting lol. All I could think was "my friends a jerk" haha. I ended up enjoying the ride and also rode some coasters that day. I still don't like scary rides but this was enjoyable!
when your on a enterprise and while its going you look left to right and it throws you well off lots of fun. i go to zodiac at thorpe park!

Yeah, enterprises are the only classic rides I'm willing to keep as they still ride well.
First one I rode was at the "Fun Forest" at the Seattle center, site of the 1962 world's fair. Probably around 1982 or so.

I rode the witch's wheel at Cedar Point. It was removed in the off season, though.
