This feels like the prologue to every movie that is about ai taking over the world
I don't agree, imagine what people in the 1900s felt like when they saw the internet for the first time in an announcement, probably the same thing you're feeling given your comment. Fast forward now, the internet has only improved the world for the most part. The same thing for AI. You think there aren't weapons of mass destruction already in the world that could end us in 1 second? As much as we are safe from the nukes Russia has and China, we are safe from AI and will remain to be unless something major happens.
And they just bullishly keep on truckin’.

@@tamateaholdaway-howard2537 Fair enough. I mean what I have seen are some really amazing and powerful tools. I think they definitely exist. I just think that to make it into a usable technology that affect our daily lives in profound and meaningful ways and radically changes how we live will take a little bit longer.
@@ES-wn4oqthe reality is that the issue is not the AI tech it's how it's trained. Take Chat GPT as an example. It's learning from us and its creators to respond to prompts a certain way. If you've had fun testing it and asking it atypical stuff, you'll notice it works EXTREMELY well within the parameters it understands (the data it got from x date to y date, the way it was taught to respond or not respond to certain requests). Where it fails is when it is lacking information (so anything it's current data doesn't have or that we didn't provide in the prompt), when information is similar, not distinguishable, too vague. That's all linguistic and human lacks not the AI's lacking. Without us asking it to understand us the AI would be more performant, think of everything your phone can do and how all it needs is for you to press a button. In that context we have mastered the translation from the UI input (your phone icons/buttons) and the computer's functions (make a call, play a video). Once we as humans find out how to simplify that translation between prompt and AI understanding, that's when AI will start developing exponentially. It's not the AI that's lacking because it's human made. It's our innability currently to adequately translate human speech/text to an AI performed task.
One day Jensen Huang himself will be replaced by an AI robot capable of doing his job 4 times better.
And he will be sitting in a beach somewhere (or in a space station) with a few female robots serving him...

Ofc its because all what you will see in nature was made for humans to fir perfectly there is 70k fruits to be eaten google them try find at least 1 new fruit per year. Not only do we need to simulate our factories, but all companies should have simulations of their working structure, and flow. It is obviously easier to optimize something you can interact with as a toy model.
As an entreprenuer, this levels the playing field in so many ways.

I work in a small portion of the technology industry but I really feel uncomfortable with how fast technology is advancing, specially AI. In my opinion Governments needs to legislate these big tech companies. I feel like we don’t have time to catch up and understand these new advancements.
What are the benefits? How many jobs will be lost? Can we trust AI? Do we really need these new features displayed in the video?
Anyway I hope it will benefit us but I’m very skeptical.
"How many jobs will be lost?" Is that really a bad thing tho? Its temporary. Potentially it can lead to people doing more creative stuff or things they like. The transition period will be a rough time no doubt. I don't think the way we live today is a good way to live and if AI is used in a good way by the people in power positions i think lives can greatly improve for next generations.
thats really a stretch. the future where we can all sit at beach drinking cocktails while robots work requires that every multibillion company boss also gives up their work. if no one works, there are no customers. either the companies need to produce everything for free or the company tax needs to be insanely high so government can give everyone money to get the stuff they need.
so.. will jeff bezos, elon musk and the co be able to accept money becomes worthless? everyone gets what they want. and if the factories cant create infinite amounts of cars or doughnuts then they need to ration them 1 or 0.1 per person.
its easy to imagine one side of beautiful utopia, but there are so many doubtful things required.
1st question is stupidity. Literally AI can benefit humanity so much. Cancer could be cured, thousands of diseases, people in wheel chairs will be able to walk again. AI could become one of the most ground breaking number 1 creation humans have ever made. It is possible as well AI could be the key to immortality. NOW THATS HUGE. also jobs aren’t going anywhere, people simply have to move jobs. What AI is basically gonna do is kill all the current jobs in the technology business and open up new jobs/opportunities. So jobs aren’t going anywhere it’s already been debunked a thousand times.

I can't imagine the impacts this will have on the human psychological wellness over many years and generations. Could seeing uncanny faces on a daily basis cause detachment and dehumanizes from real connection in a similar way how porn can cause disfunction?
