- I created this video as an attempt to be a guide for veteran players, showing some nice shortcuts and safe strategies for the bosses. Also it shows some memory modifications to:
Remove the necessity of switching PvE only rings (covenant of artorias, charred ring, iron ring, etc) to keep the gameplay fluid and...
Model swapping my ugly, but useful gear, into some aesthetically looking set ( I've been doing this types of cosmetic changes since the Diablo II era, anyone remembers the almighty but fugly Tal'rasha Set? then you know what I mean).
Basically I borrowed the shortcuts from some speed-runners, removed the HIGH risk sections in favor for some safe routes to end with a speedy, but at the same time, safe guide...
Yeah, I wasted some time in things that really dont belongs to speedruns, like for example parrying and risposting some enemies and the Taurus demon thing, but there is one reason for that...adding some fun factor to the gameplay. I really enjoy doing this route on my normal play sessions, thanks for the input though

This is a speedguide for people that are past New Game Plus 7 so yes, it is expected that I Ieveled my stats, past certain item requirements the only thing you need to max asap is HP, why? because the Bed of Chaos Boss can and WILL one hit kill you with its geiser flames attack, as you can see in the video I could withstand one attack because of my high HP

Overall a nice run alot of things can be toned up nothing to hard just travel routes that are nothing risky.

how to upgraded artorias greatsword in enchated?
It cant be done. The sword on the video is an Enchanted Broad Sword model swapped to look like Artorias Greatsword...

@ 3:25 you couldve taken a shortcut to the Black Knight to save a few seconds if you wanted to take that path.

Why won't you use the Black Iron set? I though it was lighter and had the best defense on heavy armor.
+Ricardo Andrade Dias I dont even use the set displayed on the video, the real set its a "fugly" one which have some Havel's parts, the purpose of this video is also to showcase the modelchanging I was doing back then...

He hacked it. At about 1:09:30 he pulls open his menu and you can see
Alex Mach ahh, yeah, i see durability on items that are impossible numbers... the soul level is like 249 too, but i guess using a boss souls with the glitch to do it multiple times wouldn't be hacking lol i didn't know about that till i got to like 177 without using that and was on like new game plus 3 or 4 i think. that took ages...
Alex Mach I only edited what it is on the video description AND the durability of the items, since I cant be bothered to go to the blacksmith every once in a while. Everything else is legit gameplay no hacks to give me unfair advantage or the like, most of the memory edits are for cosmetic ONLY purposes and to save some time, since I like to play this game often...
warhammer265 This is achieved on New Game Plus +9 or so, since you can only do the Big Hat Logan quest once for a playthrough, each quest adds you 5 Soul Spears....
warhammer265 My Soul Level is that high because I am like 90 hours or more and this is the 31th run or so...
1:17:40 Why your armor have that's stats?
Was because at the time I was tired of repairing my armor during my playthroughs and also testing memory edits like the durability of armors...

Yep, it can be done as long as you choose the 4 Kings to fight early on, as you can potentially get stuck there if you ran out of Homeward Bones

Also you wasted so much time going to the Taurus demon that wasnt needed unless for some ungodly reason you did not get the Master key

L2P _SouL I model changed an enchanted broadsword to look like the Great Sword of Artorias by memory editing the data.exe of DarkSouls at run time (common technique used by trainers) and....its damn difficult to explain how, your best bet would be to familiarize with hex editing and visiting the cheat engine's forum and the Dark Souls thread there to have an idea of the process...
Why didn't you skip the gaping dragon and Capra demon and go straight to quelag
+jack slayer Because that is not a "safe" shorcut, its mentioned on any speedrun but in practice one out of five you will miss the landing and die.
This guide attempts to cover the most safest route while maintaining a good pacing, thus a speedguide and not a speedrun...

I model swapped it, it was only a cosmetic change, only the 3d model is
affected as the broadsword is used by the game for the internal
calculations...
