Thank you Dr. Goertzel on your interesting perspective on the state of AGI. REALLY looking forward to the progress made in 24 and beyond. I wish I could have attended this gathering, if not for the BBQ, to discuss Quantum computing, advancements in material engineering/sciences and micro processing. We live in exciting/scary times. It will be fascinating to see how things play out.

Sure thing! So, check it out: down the line, new tech might totally shake up how we do things. Think about it - keyboards, mice, even monitors could become old news. With cool stuff like voice recognition, AR, VR, and brain-computer interfaces, we could soon be chatting with our computers, waving our hands, or even just thinking our commands. But, hey, whether this all becomes the norm depends on how fast tech moves, whether folks like us get on board, and how well these new ways work in different situations, both at work and in our personal lives.
Love Ben and hope over the next year or so I'll be able to point people at a viable distributed alternative to the big corporate LLM models and services, which I personally do believe are on track to achieve AGI, certainly in most of the ways that matter. I already find something like Claude 3 to be far, far, far more intelligent than any human I've ever conversed with. Academic discussions of consciousness and sentience I've grown a bit tired of, as I see them as akin to speculating on the JFK assassination (or pick, if you prefer, a favorite cryptozoological subject) - you'll simply never get to the bottom of it so don't waste your time.

I know several pedagogues, who are interested in artificial intelligence and have worked in the art field for a long time and who would gladly participate in AI training on emotion recognition and the significance of art for humanity.

Speaking of Consciousness Advancement, couldn't the elevation or upgrade of human consciousness without AI and other scientific technologies, but rather through some form of human self consciousness, or even spiritual consciousness enlightenment, not necessarily assisted by AI, et al., be considered to be included in the Singularity concept?
