    Pointing the camera at himself is just fine, I think it helps to show a lot on how deep he is and his rate of kicking. Cool video!

      When he surfaces @ 4:15 the rock formation behind him looks similar so I'm not convinced this is man made.

    Here there, thanks so much. The camera is a GoPro 2. But the real reason the video is so clear is thanks to the simply amazing visibility or yonaguni's ocean.
    I remember there were some times, the water we so clear, I could not tell I was in water, it just felt like I was flying. Checking out your channel now.. some banging trance tunes in there it seems..

      The video is really nice but personally I don't like this type of music. I like the calmer type which I think falls under the Ambient Meditation title. I feel like that's way more fitting for videos that display such beauty and calmness.
      But I understand that they are your videos and you can place any music feels fitting so just consider the ambient meditation music.

    Hey man - I have read books similar to what you have mentioned - Back in 1997, I read 'Gods of the New Millennium' by Alan F Alford. I believe all these books cover similar ancient sites and draw similar conclusions, all drawing from Zachariah Sitchin's work, while adding there own bits and pieces. Its because of my interest in the 'Ancient Aliens' theory and my passion for freediving that I made a special trip here. Good luck in getting to Yonaguni... its definitely not easy!

    Thank you for the video. I'm reading James Rollin's "Deep Fathom" and stopped to look up Yonaguni Pyramids. Your video brings his story to "life". Maybe some day the pyramids will "pop" above water like in the book? Can't wait to see more. :)

    • @clemhumsinger287
      @clemhumsinger287 11 років тому

      PS: Do you think Dr. Rollin's fans can unite and help Freediver get more time to video other scenes like this? I'm sure Dr. Rollins would appreciate seeing scenes from his books. "Deep Fathom" was published um 2001. Movie someday?

    Thanks Pagasus! Your welcome to subscribe for more videos in the future! Lead weights are mainly to compensate the extra buoyancy from your wetsuit. Without a wetsuit I become relatively neutral from around 8m, shifting to sligtly negative after 12m. A direct vertical decent, and freediving fins make it easy to push through the first 1-7 meters where I am still positively buoyant.

    tutt99, I have 'formal training' in the sense that I have done a freedive course, AIDA 2, which I did 1 year go. When I stay I do not do any training, I mean, I do not practice breathhold, train in the pool, do dynamics, statics, etc. I just go dive. I do not practice tables, or any form of training to try improve my performance.

  • @freediverhd

    Good question. There's tons of marine life at yongauni, tons of colorful marine fish hug the volcanic rock drop offs around the island, they like the gullys, caves, walls, overhangs - and I guess the monument does not provide the sort of cover these reef fish like. I do have another video called "Crystal Clear - 3rd clearest ocean in the world" which shows some of the marine environment, it was filmed a few hundreds meters away from the monument, a bit further down the coast.

  • @freediverhd
    @freediverhd  11 років тому

    Definitely go to Maeda Point when you are in Oki. Thats place is just perfect, easy to go to, quite safe, great amount of fish, a big cave nearby - don't miss it!

  • @freediverhd
    @freediverhd  11 років тому

    Generally freediving courses will teach that there is no-sign of a blackout. However, I can personally feel when im about the blackout, but thats through my experience.... i feel it on deep dives with long round trips to the bottom...when the kickup is still a long way to go, you feel scared, tense, and everything just starts to fade out. There not much you can do - which is why u need to dive with a buddy - the buddy is the safety system.

    That's a great video man. What interests me is that at some point in the video you go back to the surface, and it appears that the piece of land has very cleanly cut stones. Obviously that does not explain the precision below water, but maybe the starting point was very straight stones.

    I'm not gonna argue if this is natural or man-made, since the answer is obviously man-made, but does this prove that this area was supposed to be a land before? Did global warming made the sea that deep after thousands of years?

    • @KalleBowo
      @KalleBowo 9 років тому +3

      +Peter Ian Betos Experts believe it might have been the end of the last ice age, roughly 10.000 bc, which caused the sea level to rise so high. i don't know about your german skills, but I could recommend the following documentation on youtube, just search for: "10500 v. Chr. Geheimnisse der Hochkulturen ( volle Dokumentation)"

    • @pepecorleone9021
      @pepecorleone9021 5 років тому +2

      @@KalleBowo Yes the newly discovered GREENLAND COMET may have made sea levels rise 400 feet.. Comet and Meteor impacts have changed human evolution, after listening to Graham Hancok and Randall Carlson im convinced. Geology shows a crazy period 12,000 year ago of heating and cooling, MASSIVE FLOODS, EPIC COOLING the younger Dryas was a cataclysm, i think we all know this now, it wasnt hunter gatherers hunting down and killiing off all the mega fauna...

    • @Zenrising_YTCM_President
      @Zenrising_YTCM_President 5 років тому +1

      "Obviously man made". Yeah that's why it's now thought to be the result of geological activity.

    • @pepecorleone9021
      @pepecorleone9021 5 років тому +7

      @@Zenrising_YTCM_President Bullshit, nobody with any credibility accepts natural geological formation, especially after the underwater pyramid was discovered.. In nature u might have a 1 in a billion chance at getting a perfect 90 degree angle and perfectly flat surface at Yonaguni u can see 90 degree angles everywhere.

    its literally right next to the a cliff. not more than 50 meters from the shore. however because of the cliff, its impossible to get there by walking and swimming out - So need to take a boat along the coast line to reach it
