- Torker is back, baby! The iconic Fullerton, California brand founded by the Johnson family in 1975 has finally, after years of wrangling, found a home and is going to be awesome. The first frame production of the EK is only available in Triple Show Chrome Plated and is made in a limited quantity of just 50 for Pro XXL size for the World.
We built this Torker Eddie King custom from a host of new top-shelf parts from A'ME, MKS, Kashimax, Flite, Tioga and Halo - with the exception of the vintage era-correct Shimano Dura-Ace crank set.
Available to buy now from ALANS BMX: alansbmx.com/p...

More videos please Alan. Your knowledge of bmx history is fascinating.
I just bought a frame from Torker, I’m in my 50s but looking back to getting on the bike, these look like good components
I bought a 280x off a guy and his son at a race in Santa Ana California where i raced for cook bros. Kept all my bikes. The frame and forks have no serial number. I know they came out in 83 but i got mine in the summer of 81. My lightest bike out of well more then 10. Hahahaha. My third favorite. Im a cook bros fan. Then Redline Torker then GT. I have a 79 gary little John.very rare.
Wow dude you're living the dream doing this job. The torker looks amazing, wish I had one when I were a kid, but I always got the cheapest possible.
Wish I could relive my falcon pro theta days again, I wouldn't make so many mistakes as I have.
I love this , Great video, Alan more retro, please.
love the long top tube options. This thing is a real race bike I'm a big fan.
Awesome! Great build!
I’m putting together my new MX26 tonight
Thanks for sharing, great vid,,,Alans BMX build me some old school wheels (Araya rims with Profile hubs) a few years ago, what an amazing job they did,,,Rock on
Nice video.
You can definitely use a dust cap over that bottom bracket.
Been waiting for this video!!!
YES MORE VIDEOS ! 👍
SWEET!
Great Video Alan!!
Looks good!
Lovely BMX, my favourite era was the early 80's and that is right up my street . Do you build the Halo wheels in 24 and 26 inch?
The Halo sub-4 Rims are available in 24 inch size and the 26 Inch we would use the T2 Rims. Get in touch and we can sort you out!
Thanks Alan, good to know. I am waiting on a Supercross 26 cro-mo to come up for sale or I may just go with a 24. I love those Halo wheels with the gold nipples they will be awesome 👍
Weight of that build is how many lbs. ?
And the xxl frame weight too .
You've made an error at 2:50 where you state that "all the fitments are the same, a 30.2 mm headset" ...that is 100% false. Torker has made an extreme error in this head tube size when in fact the original EK bikes were 32 mm headsets. Check it.
Correct on the OG EK Joseph, 30.2mm WAS used on a few high-end frame BITD and not an issue with these as there are plenty of choice of nice headsets to choose from.
I get you about the BB
BUT
Id have thought the majority of people buying them would want the USA bb
Ok ,, you say high end builds wouldn’t use a one piece crank
Id feel people buying these would be building them out of nostalgia
So i would have thought they would want them exactly as they were originally
I definitely would
Just saying
The original 1980 EK frame had a Euro BB, I'm sure if/when they do a 280X it'll have US BB.
Not a good look a 50 plus yr old rideing around on a 1970's kids bmx.
