I get what you saying. It is like the type of voice that Autotune was made to imitate. The lilting and flipping that she does on notes are what most singers who use Autotune are often incapable of doing without the help. The uniqueness in her voice comes from several things. The way her larynx is formed, in terms of physiognomy, it produces the childlike quality stereotypically common in women's voices, anthropologically believed to induce a man's push to protect women. In the more modern sense of stereotyping it gives the impression of weakness. However because she is an adult and a seasoned singer the lung power produces a sound that contradicts the aforementioned. Another thing is the scull structure (high cheekbones, and formation of the sinuses and nasal cavity). It is kind of like when I sing in the tenor range. Because I was a natural bass, and the school administrators messed up in the division of the boys into two class periods, my baritone-bass heavy class had only two tenors. Only one baritone was willing to change, talking about, "they have no balls." So only one baritone dared switch to tenor 2, and I volunteered to sing tenor 1. I already had the habit of singing with whatever section she was working, especially the soprano section who sat behind us, meaning tenor 1 was no issue, except I had too much power when it came to setting up quartets for solo and ensemble contests or for works we performed. I was told that it was fine for the balance necessary for choirs low on tenors, but that 17y.o. me had the voice of a 35y.o. tenor. And like Michelle's, my auditions in school produced mediocre results when it came to musicals. It wasn't until landed a part as Armand Beauxhommes in Once on This Island out of school in a semi-professional production that my school started giving me real recognition. But then Mr. man-voice teenager was typecast as an older person despite my very young face. Even when the young Americans came through every year I was given belty parts for solos, Peppermint Twist, and the part of the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of OZ which was originally supposed to be one of the actual cast members but during all the auditioning, they knew that was what my voice was good for. That was the magic of Destiny's Child they knew what each voice was good for and they started really doing it. Michelle shined in Destiny Fulfilled. Though it was an album more about Kelly, it had achieved their goal (fulfilled a strategic "destiny") of showcasing all voices. Too many people ignored that because of the almost seamless blend of Kelly's contralto voice into Beyoncé's mezzo soprano voice, meaning that people often confused the voices, ignoring the slight, but clear, timbre differences. Michelle's jazzy tone and abilities and childlike quality covered what singers like Britney Spears (babydoll voice for lack of a better choice) or Mariah (whisper voice) manipulate their voices to produce.
