And we're just a small country with almost no military. We have however reinstated conscription. This will mean next year we will have about 200.000 new soldiers. Our total budget will be about 7 billion euro's. The 2 billion is to train our soldiers etc. This will only increase with the next 'year'. Another 190.000 soldiers. And for 2026 another 212.000 soldiers. Don't forget all those 'years' can be drafted to fight. Even I, one of the last 'years' who were conscripted, can be drafted to fight. Although I don't think they will send me to Ukraine. I'm 51 now. So if I get drafted, it will possibly in an admiration function. Not in the artillery unit I trained in.

This is all we - Ukrainians need to know about this proxy NATO vs Russia war:
“Being an enemy of America is dangerous, being a friend of America is fatal.” - Henry Kissinger (?)
    ***
    >>>I guess it was the 12th or 13th time to Kiev, and I was supposed to announce that there was another billion-dollar loan guarantee. I got a commitment from Poroshenko and from Yatsenyuk that they would take action against a state prosecutor, and they didn’t.
“So as they were walking out to the press conference, I said, nah, we aren’t going to give you the billion dollars. They said you have no authority, you are not the President. I said call him. I’m telling you, you are not getting the billion dollars.
“You are not getting the billion; I am leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you are not getting the money.
“Well, son of a bitch, he got fired.>If you put aside the immense human suffering and look at Ukraine’s war through the cold lens of international power politics, a clear picture emerges: the West is having a good war against Russia.
All NATO has to do is send Kyiv munitions, equipment and money, which, as any general knows, is the c h e a p e s t way to wage war.
    (...)
The lives are being given by the Ukrainians. They’re defending their nation but also, inadvertently, helping decide the Cold War.
For 70 years, NATO deterred a Moscow attack westwards. The Russians eventually invaded, last February, what they assumed would be a conquerable target on their south-western border.
The war that NATO long prepared for is finally being fought.

And so what is happening now in the Ocheretino area. Willie talked about a good road, but he didn't say the main thing. The story of Lisichansk and Severo-Donetsk repeats itself. Ukraine's fortifications are not located throughout its territory. Fortifications were built along the front line. The most capital fortifications were built on the line of contact in 2014. Military construction was carried out there for ten years. Military reinforced concrete was supplied there, and defensive lines were built under the control of engineers from NATO. The difference between the quality of these structures and those that have been built since the beginning of the war is enormous. Hence, fortresses like Avdiivka could hold out all this time. Newer structures, still having relative capital, were built in the places of Russian breakthroughs at the beginning of the war. At that time, the military builders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine still had some opportunities. But defense is of little concern to the visionary Zelensky, all his thoughts are about the victorious Ukrainian army invading Crimea. He does not ask the West for construction equipment and materials for the construction of defensive structures at all. For this reason, the defensive structures now are trenches lined with boards. What does it protect against? So that the walls of the trenches do not crumble after the rain. Any pit can protect against an explosion, the main thing in protection is the ground, through which fragments do not pass. Therefore, even wooden fortifications make sense. But only they were not built everywhere. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are afraid of a breakthrough in the Kharkiv direction, now they are being built there. The APU also feared an offensive along the Dnieper. They were built there. What is the danger of a breakthrough in the Avdiivka area? The fact that the APU believed in the inaccessibility of Avdiivka and full-fledged fortifications, massive mining was not carried out behind it. This explains what is happening there now. Why are the APU not able to stop Russia's offensive there? From the fact that they simply do not have prepared positions for defense. And now that Ocheretino has fallen, Russia is entering a zone in which there are no fortifications at all. And there the defenders are in the same position as the attackers. They will have to fight in the open field. Needless to say, the army recruited from the disabled and students is not ready for this?
We saw something similar during the time before the fall of Lisichansk, a deep breakthrough then collapsed the entire front line of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. But then the AFU significantly outnumbered Russia in terms of troops. Then there were still units consisting of professional military personnel. And Russia's breakthrough was only in one place. Now the situation has changed dramatically. The Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot saturate the breakthrough area with their troops. They cannot withdraw their troops from the direction of Rabotino, Ugledar, Seversk, Liman, Kharkov. In all these places, there may be another such breakthrough. And then there will be a cascading collapse of the entire front.
