    Always felt I understood this game better than most, good at positioning, decision making, etc. but I've been held back by my lack of mechanical skills. Watched so many videos about getting better, tried so many different training exercises that would supposedly help, but none of them did. Squishy's advice here to try to hit the ball just as it bounces in freeplay, after trying it for myself for a little while, is definitely the advice I've been needing. It really is a lot harder than it looks, and I'm confident I'll become a much better player if I can master it. Thanks :)

    all ranks are very toxic.
    But, even if low ranks base mechanics are very bad, it's easy to spot you're smurfing, just by ow calm and precise you are.
    you realized that in gold over 50% of open nets are missed, so when they see you making no errors, some just give up hope. They could try to do their best, but you won't let them win anyways :)))
    you're being fair, don't mistake me, but don't think they can't spot your actual skills.

And give the opponent some opportunity to take the score lead, feel positive during the game, or so they show their best to you.

    Hey squishy, I have a request for the series that I hope you're willing to do. I have always kinda used your style of play as a model of how I strive to play and have found all of your videos and commentary extremely helpful for me to push up in rank and improve on my skill.
    Anyways, I was hoping you could add the control camera again. That's something that I miss and I feel could really help me figure out what kind of movement mistakes I'm making.
    Thanks

    Yeah the golds you’re playing is definitely a misrepresentation of what higher end golds can do.
    I’m gold 1 and I already know how to do a proper speed flip kickoff. My aerials are also semi-consistent , I just struggle a lot when it comes to high aerials and aerials from awkward positions.
    But then again I spent a lot of time in free play/casual matches perfecting mechanics and I have a fast learning curve.

      @DurkDiggler 11 місяців тому

      you are gold because you are only talking about aerials, meaning you hyper focus on that, which is understandable, but not gonna benefit you very much

    Gold 3 are definitely doing basic aerials. We just go for them too much and at the wrong time. I go up so many times hit the ball and while going back to the ground I think to myself “why did I even do that. Now they have possession “. We also miss the ball a lot because we do get in are emotional a lot

      As a champ my self I can almost guarantee that he’ll still win with minimal mechanics his game sense and positioning are so good that the players won’t have a chance to pull off crazy mecs

      As a champ as well i think the basics will beat any high level mechanics most of the time, especially in champ

      Go watch Flakes, he did a road to SSL series using no mechanics of any kind except for a speed flip when he got to around GC. He made the nuttiest mechanical players look like idiots with insane fakes and cuts. Admittedly he’s probably the best in the game at those, but they definitely take less practice then say, a musty double reset or something crazy like that.

    In low Gold (which is where I am) , some player panic or rage soo badly they quit immediately . In some matches , when it was tie or we're one goal down . My team8 just asks for ff or just leaves . I don't play the game often .

    • @YoBrand15
      @YoBrand15 11 місяців тому +1

      Happens in high diamond and low champ as well.
      But in gold it happens because no one understands teamwork in that low of rank. Like no one actually plays for their teammate. It's just a bunch of ball chasing. So they perceive everything that happens as the other person's mistake
