Really cool man! I am trying to put my music on cassettes to make my own beat tapes, this was very helpful! I was wondering though, what kind of printer are you using to print out the templates? Thanks again.
Thanks for making these tutorials. I've started to make physical copies of my own work and wanted to make a cover for my own tape. Doing a little art project for myself has never been so much fun.
You make it look so easy. I have zero creative talent, but I'm inspired to give it a go. Swapping Photoshoot for GIMP though, if that will work similarly. Cheers!

Hello. What kind of papper do you use for the cassete labels? Thank you so much!
@@ACrafterinTraining thank you for 6our kind reply. Yes it has been something that I have thought about for quite some time. And now I just about have everything I need to do it. Kind regards. Paul.
This is the best youtube channel that i have seen related with handcrafting. Your handcraft are awesome. I have been looking for some way to do the cassettes arts by myself but i have not could do it so far. I have not PS software and i wonder if i can use your templates in my Macbook using Keynote or another easier application since i have not designs skill. Thank you again for this channel and now you have another follower.
Hey there. What program do you recommend for me to download which will help me make all of these different audio cassette & jewel case labels? Thank you! :)
Great video and templates! Only I've never used photoshop. How to I import photos to my template and fit them to the sections? Sorry if it's an amateur question but I've never used PS and can't see how you do it!
I've been told multiple times that photoshop files are not compatible with other programs, so I am working on making them accesible for everybody. As soon as I find a decent solutions I will make a video about it.
Hola alguien sabe como puedo borrarle las letras impresas sobre los cassette tape en donde aparece la marca sin dañar lo can solemne let me Know How can i borrow the label and details on the cassete tape without dámage it its becsuse i already try it With nails polishh and it doesnt Work
Yo uso acetona diluida con agua, pero hay veces que daña el plastico dependiendo del plastico del cassette. Tambien puedes usar un cotonete y alcohol etilico y tallarle hasta que empiece a salir.
Incredible! I need to see if I can make the cover arts "rectangular" with Photoshop, most of the ones I have are "squared" as the CD if you know what I mean. I need to practice Photoshop, do you think it's easy?
In this video, I used regular computer paper with laser ink. However, I'd say the best material to print on is text paper, is really similar to the paper they use to professionally put together cassette inserts or cd booklets.
I got the cassette case with the cassette; I bought a couple of blank cassette tapes on eBay to make my tapes. however, you can use used cassettes or old ones, either from thrift shops or garage sales; you can record over the old tapes and reuse the case itself. Hope it helps, and thanks for watching 😄
Hey, I've designed my cover but when I copy it to the a4 template, it is huge and not the correct measurements. Any idea why? I'm saving it as a .png and then dragging the file onto the a4 template. Thanks!
It does happen sometimes, depending on which type of file you decide to save your image as. I'd recommend you to resize the cassette file to the correct size, I believe I provided the measurements for the height of the file. If you resize the height, the width will adjust automatically.
@@ACrafterinTrainingDoes that fit 5-panel artwork in a slim cassette case? and how much GSM paper do you use? I mean the thickness. Thanks! Big fan of your work!
Its called couche paper, but that is how its known in Mexico. It might be known different where you're from. But is a coated paper that allows it to come out shiny.
It might have to do with the printing settings. This tutorial is quite old and when using Word to print, some printers add an edge around the file to ensure nothing gets cut, but when working with specific measurements will be affected. Try trial and error with the printing settings. I usually make sure to select the "print in real size" and it works.
Rolyat Tfiws it’s regular computer paper, bond paper, however, it’s laser printing, that’s what gives the shiny finish. You can also try to use lightweight photo paper with ink jet printers. Hope it helps! 😁
Love the video! It helped me a ton! What do you use to bond the label on the cassette itself? Everywhere I read says sandpaper the cassette and spray adhesive on the label.
Hi there! Great video. I am attempting to use ur Cassette label Download. What is a PSD File? Does that stand for Photo shop download? I do not use photoshop. How do I convert the file to a JPEG OR PNG?
Gonna turn my Spotify playlists into cassette tapes after watching this. I split one of them into two 45 minute playlists for each side of the cassette
this is really helpful!! How do you get different variation of color for the tapes? Can I remove the tape from the plastic shell and paint them myself?
I don't think that's possible. The paint might come off onto your player, if you plan on playing them. I find mine at thrift stores and re record on top of them
My local printer center is able to print in magazine-type-paper which makes it look really shiny, while also being thin and malleable. If you are unable to get that kind of paper, you can try printing it with laser printer as the ink makes regular paper look shiny.
hey there, i tried to make the cassette insert, but when i use picsart to put all the photos together, the quality has been ruined..the texts cant even be seen clearly..i’m sure i’ve resized the image to the upper limit..can you please help me out? i made an design with three extra panels and the original photos quality is high already but when out together the quality just got ruined...
Glad you liked it! Regular computer paper will work, to be sure, you can use bond paper, is a tad bit thicker than computer paper, making it ideal for this project. Hope it helps ☺️
Oh. My. Gods. This was SO helpful! And you are adorable. Thank you, thank you, thank you! The insert less cassettes my collection that I've been picking up in charity shops also thank you.
This is a incredible tutorial! Perfect for an Anniversary Gift!

Hello! What printer do you use?
What kind of paper do you use?
ilustration paper, made for laserjet printers
Really cool man! I am trying to put my music on cassettes to make my own beat tapes, this was very helpful! I was wondering though, what kind of printer are you using to print out the templates? Thanks again.
I use regular computer paper, the reason why it looks so shinny is because I print it with laser printer.

wow this was incredible, thank you
what paper did u use ?
What if I wanna print it somewhere like office depot? Do I do the a4 paper on photoshop and then save it as a jpg?
Yes, that is actually what I do. Just make sure to ask them to print in real size, not expand to fit to ensure it prints correctly
Its cool thanks perfect

I downloaded the template and opened it in photoshop but it doesn't seem to work for me, it just keeps flashing like a strobe light
It might be that when downloading the file, something happened. I checked the file in two different devices and everything seems to work okay.
