Awesome animation! In my draft, here in Norway, we used G3 for the most time - heavy rifles, *very* heavy loading mechanism! One day, we were given the chance to inspect examples of foreign weapons, and I held an AK-47, so light in my hand! I pulled the loading arm - with my pinky finger! I couldn't believe it! Such a different weapon!
The G3 is a full power battle rifle. The AK is an intermediate assault rifle. Intermediate rifles were made to be lighter and smaller than full power rifle but also be more powerful than a submachine gun
@@fujimi715 Indeed. I only wish we were able to fire the AK, but obv. there was no time or place for that, very strict :D Whenever we fired the G3, we would all have pink shoulders afterwards, where the butt-stock had been mercylessly kicking us
@@zegh8578 You kickin’ it in full auto? The G3 is controllable in semi. In full, the thing jumps around. This can also be because the bolt carrier group is fucking massive. Every reciprocation, the damn bolt carrier hits you directly in the front if the stock. While in the AK, in only hits the end of the receiver, and not directly in front on the stock.

Man, this is absolutely beautiful, I cannot even begin to imagine how you made this and how much effort and time you put into such a clean and perfect animation.. Absolutely amazing..
Matt Rittman Dude, you are missing an auto sear. It is a part necessary for automatic fire that is not present in a semi automatic rifle. The function of the auto sear is to hold the hammer in the cocked position and to automatically release it when the bolt fully returns to battery. Without the auto sear, the hammer would move forward contacting the bolt carrier and either detonate a cartridge out of battery, which is extremely dangerous, or just fail to strike the firing pin. Nice work on your animation skills, but you do not fully understand the function of the trigger group. I suggest you fix it.

If you can't afford those I recommend you to get a 357 magnum gun, it's not so expensive plus its a school shooters favourite to get the job done
He didn't actually. His original design didn't do very great. He stole the design from some of the competitors in the selection, and the first production run was plagued with extreme unreliability. It wasn't until the AKM was released in 1959 did the design "settle".
@ I mean I'm just stating history. As far as AR rifles being reliable, they are. There are actual reliability tests and even videos on youtube you can find between the two to compare if you don't believe me. You've just fallen for very basic gun myths that people that use guns for a living don't believe.
@deanc91 oh boy, youtube videos I mean there are youtube videos "proving" earth is flat you know Maybe todays AR are okay in terms of reliability, but ask any Vietnam vet about their opinions of the m16 and they will tell you a lot about its awfulness While ak never had a problems with reliability since it was created and put to mass production (only prototypes weren't supper great but they are prototypes) the only real problem it has and does is that its just got old
@ This is how I know you don't shoot guns. Anyone that's dragged an AR-15 vs an AK through the mud knows the AR is more reliable in real world situations. Vietnam era AR-15s used the incorrect spec ball powder and was frequently issued without cleaning kits, and according to US Congressional investigations, it's speculated this was done on purpose by the Ordinance Dept to sabotage the M16 to retain political and procurement power to Government Armories instead of private designers and manufacturers. Note that none of the initial AR-15s and M16s given to the Air Force commandos and South Vietnamese for testing had any reliability issues. The M16 was quickly updated to accept the out of spec powder and run more reliability without maintenance, but because it released straight into a brutal war, it took a permanent hit to its reputation. The AK Type 1 (not even the prototype but the first release version) was known to completely warp and was unusable but luckily didn't go straight into battle. They had to release an emergency stopgap version with the Type 2 with the strengthened milled receiver, and the AK platform did not reach its intended design goals until the AK Type 4 (AKM), more than a decade after its initial release.
“What would happen if we took away the Second Amendment?” It would be the end of the United States of America. The first thing that would happen is that the authorities would attempt to get citizens who’ve believed in their right to self protect for most of their lives and they believe it with every fiber of their being. It would fail. The next thing would be confiscation. If even half of the approximately 150+/- million people that own firearms decide to fight back then that would spell the end of any law enforcement agency as a viable organization. After that the government would most likely take away the First Amendment because they would be successful initially and in doing so there would be entire families that get slaughtered by trigger happy law enforcement. The government would not want any of that publicized. It would end in complete anarchy. It would end with the dissolution of the United States. Which would be awesome to other countries such as Russia and China. They would, of course, incite Mexico to invade from our southern border and attempt to regain their version of Aztlan. AKs will exist on the battlefields of mankind as long as we fight wars. This is just due to the efficient, but simple design. You dont have 50 parts moving like in a P90, but 3-5 parts wich can be easily fixed. Great video""
A p90 has: the piston slide like the ak have. A trigger. A chaimber slider. A Hammer. A safety. A hammer slider. The fire needle. Thats it. So not 50 parts... the difference is the tollerance. The p90 fires a lot faster because much less power is wasted but it Results in problems if you put it in water with sand ect. But you can make it worse to fire less but more durable. Simple.
@@Clumrat The AK is designed in such a way that you can field strip it without putting off your snow gloves. A few big parts, no small pieces that fall in the mud where you won't find 'em easily. Same with the Makarov Pistol.

Look at the view count on this video. This thing has almost a quarter billion views, that's not just viral, that's beyond viral. Of all the videos out there with tens of millions of views (cats, pranks, songs, movie clips, etc) very few of them surpass the view count of this video of AK rifle design. It's pleasing to me to know that despite all the anti-gun propaganda and all the governments of the world trying to keep guns out of the hands of the people, the common man everywhere has an inherent recognition of the usefulness of guns and a fascination with them that is never going to go away. And this video is done perfectly, with clear animations, a cool/fitting piece of music to go with it, and shows you everything you need to see in about 2 minutes, with no voiceover. Perfect video!

I only wish we were able to fire the AK, but obv. there was no time or place for that, very strict :D
Whenever we fired the G3, we would all have pink shoulders afterwards, where the butt-stock had been mercylessly kicking us

Gosh thank you so much. Finally someone that understands animation like this takes a ton of hard work!

Crazy how he made a perfect design right off the hop and they’ve kept it since 47
He didn't actually. His original design didn't do very great. He stole the design from some of the competitors in the selection, and the first production run was plagued with extreme unreliability. It wasn't until the AKM was released in 1959 did the design "settle".
@@deanc91 its funny coming from a guy who believes in the "reliability" of the AR rifles lol
@ I mean I'm just stating history. As far as AR rifles being reliable, they are. There are actual reliability tests and even videos on youtube you can find between the two to compare if you don't believe me. You've just fallen for very basic gun myths that people that use guns for a living don't believe.
@deanc91 oh boy, youtube videos
I mean there are youtube videos "proving" earth is flat you know
Maybe todays AR are okay in terms of reliability, but ask any Vietnam vet about their opinions of the m16 and they will tell you a lot about its awfulness
While ak never had a problems with reliability since it was created and put to mass production (only prototypes weren't supper great but they are prototypes) the only real problem it has and does is that its just got old
@ This is how I know you don't shoot guns.

“What would happen if we took away the Second Amendment?”
It would be the end of the United States of America.
A divided America is an easily conquerable America.

It’s the world’s most popular assault rifle. A weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple 9 pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn’t break, jam, or overheat. It’ll shoot whether it’s covered in mud or filled with sand. It’s so easy, even a child can use it; and they do. The Soviets put the gun on a coin. Mozambique put it on their flag. Since the end of the Cold War, the Kalashnikov has become the Russian people’s greatest export. After that comes vodka, caviar, and suicidal novelists.
