I enjoyed these series with Josie. It was a lot of fun to learn along. And watching this first clip again (with the straws) made me realise how much Josie has grown and evolved, from a cute little blond girl, to a bad-ass goth, and finding her way in that style as well.
Amazing how unexpected barriers can inspire creativity.
I have to say, your videos with Josie are some of my favorites on the channel. Partly because of the real sense of wonder she expresses so well, but mostly because of the amazing chemistry you two have. In mass media today, parent-child relationships always seem to be portrayed as fraught with major issues, probably because it's thought that conflict makes better entertainment. But while there were certainly times I butted heads with my kids while raising them, the moments I most remember were the joys of sharing knowledge and experiences with them. And watching Josie's face light up when she figures out a trick, and your face just shining with pride when she picks it up faster than you expected and most especially when you failed to fool her, brings me back to those moments.

Seeing those first two tricks in a row, Josie has changed so much during the lockdown! Have to say, I've been following Scam School / Scam Nation for many years and while I love the barshows, the episodes with Josie have been some of the highlights of the channel. Can totally see why Disney+ is interested and I truly hope she will remain a part of Scam Nation

My six year old daughter has recently developed an interest in magic tricks, especially card tricks, so these are perfect for her to learn.

I hope to meet my child someday, too, but only after she’s 18, so it doesn’t cost me anything. There’s no way I could afford a child. I can barely afford my cars and my boat. Giving her mother a fake name and number was the best decision I ever made.

The Josie era is one of my favorite parts of scamnation. She genuinely makes me laugh
Trick at 42:38 there’s a problem. What happens if someone knows this trick & purposely avoids entering 3, 6 and 9? Entering only 2, 4, 5, 7 and 8.
It’s unlikely someone will do that, but a good detour would be to own up to it and teach the principle to the rest of your audience. Fooled or not, it’s still a cool bar gag that’s easy to learn and feels fun to pull off. If you’ve already got enough attention that someone could turn the trick around on you, you’ve got enough attention to give them something to bond over. You might not get one over on your audience, but you could still make a friend, which might be what this whole thing is about.

The magic 9 trick can be also done by adding every number until it becomes a single digit number and then by simply subtracting 9 from it .. for example the addition of all numbers end up to '1' then the secret number becomes 8...

Today I learned color, number and matching card each have the same amount of letters as kleur, nummer en dezelfde kaart. Aka I kan do the whole sib sebbins or whatever deck trick in dutch

What if the key card and the chosen card are split up after cutting the cards (with really bad luck) from the 2nd trick in this video? , Where to find the chosen card then?

While i was watching the second trick i was shuffling my cards so i could try it out. I looked at the botom card and believe me or not but it was the 4 of hearts.
