I just never understood how it went from Rastan...a game that was by no means perfect, but captured the hearts of it's players by granting them a sense of epic scale and adventure with it's music and it's hero....to THIS. A cartoony abomination of disembodied laughing/gibberish speaking women.
Similar to the 1st Conan the Barbarian movies😉 The first one good but could be improved upon🙃 The 2nd one claimed by critics as no real story plot and more on action and imagery😛
I don't think I've ever played any of the "Rastan" games (at least, not yet). I like how you can block, attack upwards and attack downwards. I also like how you can switch between different weapons (long sword, shield & sword, claws). Good music, probably by "Zuntata." Good playthrough of a Taito classic!
many people complain about this sequel but graphically, soundwise and even in the innovation departament it was outstanding specially considering this was made on 1987 , i love rastan 1 but this game also has a special place on my heart i even bought the genesis version.

Agree 100%. The graphics and music are decent, but the controls are slow and stiff. On top of that, nearing the end of the game there's an unavoidable death which is the result of a grossly bad game design.
Never understood why your first opponent is what seems to be a weird chinese hopping vampire crossed with a xenomorph. I still could not figure out what to do there as when you block, he blocks too...

Better graphics and much better bosses. OK, perhaps it lacks a bit that sword and sorcery atmosphere, however the whole experience seems cool. Anyway, great gameplay.

Okay I realize now, the genesis port of this is shit... there, I did the same parry maneuver with the centaur and he was still able to hit me, because he never goes back, he just straight up walks into you.

I will NEVER understand how THIS is a sequel to Rastan! This is just awful looking, the character looks weird, looks like his head isn't looking in the same direction his body is pointing, graphics are worse than the first game. Music is alright, but this just looks bloody awful.

Compared to the first part, this "game" is a bad joke, well played by the way.
Clunky as fuck no where near as smooth and fluid as the original rastan
the first Rastan plays better. at least the music is great...in typical zuntata fashion.

Have to block with your weapon or shield, then he backs away. Then jump slash him. Speed boots help.
