- Today, we'll take apart the Real Steel Rokot, complete with its odd choice of flathead screws and odd clip, and make the resulting action MUCH better. Here's a link to the exclusive dealer: www.lamnia.com...
Morse Code translation: Caution: Excessive thread locker inside.
Kind of amazing that knife companies can grind blades to microscopic precision but controlling thread locker application remains a mysterious art.
The morse code on the grips are exactly the same as the clip Nick it’s the maker name. A rather nice touch or use to add that extra gripification lol
Nick's disassembly videos are the Haynes auto manual of the knife world and no I don't think millennials will know what a Haynes manual is.
Confirmed! I have no clue.
Haynes or Chilton, back in the day when you actually had to buy a book to learn anything. UA-cam put an end to that.
I gotcha there! I have one for my 2009 Toyota Tacoma!
I'm not a real big fan of Torx screws...but if I wanted to do worse, flathead is the way to go!!!
(For the record, nice deep hex heads would get my vote).
Well, the hex is weaker than the torx. Development developments and so on. Thank The Flying Spaghetti Monster.
For cryin out loud...could they AT LEAST make the screws Phillips head???
Am I the only one that cares more about the disassembly than the actual review because what's the point of buying a knife if it's nearly impossible to disassemble to do maintenance. Like most Gerber's and a lot of Kershaw's lol
Agreed. I get more excited for these than the review itself
I'm just here to say the Russian word for rocket is "ракета". Кот *does* mean "cat" though, so "rock-cat" it is!
How the hell do you still have so much trouble disassembling a tight tolerances knives after so many years of practice is beyond me... 😬😰 I guess “better lock for the future” might be appropriate. 😁😇

I am a millennial and on the younger side at that. And yet at 25, in February of 2021... I understood that Nine Days ref
You should use the rubber tipped drivers used in firearm assembly and disassembly to prevent scratched id a driver slips.
Ivan Braginets is actually Ukrainian designer, and Rokot is a loud bass sound (from a mountain river)
Us boomers thank you for the Mickey Mouse.
Love the disassembly. Some painters tape on the clip side would hold those chicago screws in while you assemble.
You need to get yourself a little brass wire brush for quickly removing that old thread locker from the screws
So entertained by Nick talking to himself.
I know my references are old, but I'll be damned before I let them go.
Love the vids kept up the hard work
Does the knife have to be taken apart to reverse the pocket clip?
👍😀
This feels like it’s got a “budget Shiro” vibe going on. Not a bad thing, just a feeling.
Edit: Nick just said that. Pays to watch the whole video before commenting.
I always appreciate you going through the trouble shooting process when a disassembly gets confusing!
Really neat knife, hate the flat head screws though
So glad you distinguish us Gen Xers from the zoomers 🤣🤣🤣 “Go to your home ball!!!!”
Tap tap tappy , tapparoo
I’m just here for the comedy. Nick gives Slicey a run for his money!
as a zoomer and understanding the "absolutely" by nine days reference im ok with nobody else understanding it
