Lwow was Polish since 1918 until 1939. Lwow was really Polish for almost 600 years and had a Polish majority for 700 years. Ukraine didn't exist after it was incorporated into the USSR in 1922 as a country. Lwow was stolen from Poland by the USSR in 1939 and most of its inhabitants (mostly Poles) were expelled during WW2, some even murdered by UPA. Ukraine became and independent country in 1991, and thus got Lwow because of Stalin.

I know about Bandera, UPA and the atrocities they committed on Poles and Polish/Ukrainian Jews. They collaborated with the Nazis and massacred hundreds thousands of Poles in Galicia and Wolyn. I just wanted to correct you on Lwow being Polish before WWII.
