Cried with happiness and shock when Toph was revealed. Can't wait to see her work with Korra, also hopefully see Toph in a huge fight showing her full power.

The creators have said that after book 4 is over they will not be making more avatar series. So I would just look toward just buying the comics.
I'm aware. But just like P.J. Byrne said, you never know what will come out of the minds of Mike and Bryan. Hell, when Last Airbender ended we didn't know they would do Korra. Who knows if sometime in the distant future we will see another project. You could always hope :)

Do you think the Kyoshi warriors are even around anymore? Last thing was they were serving Firelord Zuko.
They haven't even mentioned them. I know Tenzin and Aang rode the Elephant Koi when he was a kid, but that's the only mention of the word "Kyoshi" since the end of TLA.
I just realized that when Korra dies the Avatar will be reborn into the Earth Kingdom, so if Korra doesn't stop Kuvira we could have another Roku situation in which they try to use the Avatar to dominate (bring 'order') to the other nation and with Kuvira being the champion of the people manipulating the Avatar and/or their parents won't be all that hard.
I feel like a great idea for a series would be a nation successfully swaying the avatar to their side. They use him/her to help them dominate

that would be very interesting to see since this time around technology would play a much bigger role and people taking sides during harsh times is no longer all about patriotism but about the information given to the public
Wouldn't this be a cool plot twist. Korra dies in the season final(hence the last episodes name "Avatar Korra") and they actually do another season with the new earth bender that is trying to fix what Kuvira started, but has the struggle being the avatar but being an earth kingdom citizen.

I feel like Raava is secretly the hallucinations that Korra is seeing. It feels like Raava is telling Korra to go somewhere, always being somewhere at some certain point in time and is doing the right scene. She drove Korra away from all places she visited, including Republic City, and had left Korra unconscious in the mud which led her to Toph. And Raava did not answer to Korra, or allow her to go into the Avatar State which is making her believe that Raava is gone. I feel like Raava has done this for Korra to visit Toph to heal from the day that the Red Lotus had poisoned Korra. It just has that sort of feeling that Raava wants to be close to people that knew past Avatars, the hallucinations did not appear when Korra was around Katara in the South Pole, and they didn't appear around Toph. Possibly Raava wants to establish the closest connection she can with past Avatars?
I think it's cool that a diverse group of people can come together and really enjoy the world of Avatar. Shows we're all not so different.

It is amazing to see how Mike and Bryan have put those Star Wars references in the show. What is more amazing is the fact that in Star Wars Episode 7 would be in a way, a reference to Avatar : The Last Airbender because like Aang was the last of the air benders, Luke will be the last of the Jedis

I think the fact that Toph is living in the swamp is probably a reference to how Aang first saw her as a vision in the swamp. Maybe he sorta fortune told that Toph would eventually live there like she is right now.
I honestly think that the evil chained up Korra is not a hallucination. It honestly can't be, the spirit saw it as well as Korra and it inflicted real damage onto her. I believe that it is an evil spirit that was created unknowingly by Korra during the chain events of the poisoning. My theory is is that the sprit has to remain alive by keeping Korra scared that the past will never leave her. I think that the reason it is following her around if because it wants to put Korra in her place, so it can just feed off her fear, and keep Korra in the state she is currently in.

I doubt that Korra's hallucinations were just smth mental inside her head. I mean - the spirit/dog barked at it and she fought it in the swamp
I'm loving seeing all the old Aang Gang in Korra. I named my puppy after Sokka so I think it would be really cool if we could see a scene of him in his older days next.

So I have a couple questions about the avatar state that I feel like everyone is ignoring or haven't though about, because I haven't heard of anyone else talking about this.
Avatar Roku said that the avatar state was a combination of of all the skill and knowledge of the past lives. So doesn't that make Korra weaker than all the other avatars, other than Avatar Wan, or at least weaker than before in the avatar state? Also she doesn't have her past lives' memories. The way the monks knew that Aang was the avatar is that he chose the toys that the past avatars have had. How will they know about future avatars? I know that we could argue and say that the way they will know is if they can bend the other elements but if we look at Aang and Roku, they didn't even know that they were the avatar until they were told that they were. Also Korra couldn't airbend until she was 16 (maybe 17 I don't remember).

Kuvira doesn't seem as powerful as Amon or Zahere? Yea right! Seems to me like she is recruiting the bandits on the side to do her bidding, and the most dangerous part about her is that at least half of the general population seem to support and adore her for helping them out..."saving" and "uniting" them......even when that help comes with major strings in the form of power grabs. (she seems like hitler to me in those ways). I also wouldn't be surprised if she "ordered" those bandits in the previous episode to attack/steal from kai and opal so that the particular city/village she was trying to take over would have no other help and no choice but to bend to her "contract", or starve. Doesn't seem like a stretch for her to assume that Kai and Opal would go to nearby farms to get food to help them out & calculate what route they should take to get back to that village....and tell one of her band of bandits...specifically one with air-support, what to watch for and ambush them.
I say it's more like that moment when Aang was leaning how to earth bend; Katara tried to help him, but she couldn't cause she wasn't tough enough, so Toph used some tough love, and then boom, Aang can earth bend. I think it's an homage to TLA.
I reckon if they had a ATLA moment, having katara, zuko and toph together talking about the old days I will die peacefully

My friend and I were talking. We think her avatar spirit is locked inside her head and she is battling raava to get out. Thus she is attacking herself and hurting herself on accident. Toph is going to guide her on the steps on regaining her full self backThe situation is similar to aang but different, Toph is going to give her wisdom and most ikely some good training. Prob guide her on what Aang would do.
They pretty much set up the whole need for a Lin/Toph resolution back in book 3 and we know the writers love setting stuff up.
Has anyone thought that Hiroshi Sato might just appear in one of the two video games rather than in book 4? We know the multiple console version has some voice acting.
Got a big question about episode 2. If Avatar state korra is simply an illusion, why did the spirit/dog bark at it?

It will be interesting to compare and contrast between the teaching styles of Toph and Katara. We learned that Katara was probably the best teacher for Aang. She knew exactly what she needed to do or say to help him improve or move on. She even asked Toph to turn down the harshness because Aang didn't respond well to that type of teaching. Korra, on the other hand, is the complete opposite of Aang, so I think Korra will respond better to Toph's methods as opposed to Katara's. Not that Korra hasn't learned from Katara or that Katara hasn't healed Korra well enough, but in this particular healing process for her mental well-being, I think Toph will be what Korra needs.
What I wish they would've done is the incredibly creepy "bone bending" for Earthbenders. Bending the calcium inside the bones of someone else. Just as creepy as bloodbending.
I hope we see Sokka and Azula in book 4! :)

When I saw that bandit in episode one with that double sword, I realized that for all of Korra, we have not seen a single weapon of any kind. Other than the Future Industry Iron Man gauntlets, we haven't see swords, or knives or anything. The Airbenders got staffs, but that's part of their culture, but why did the creators took away weapons of any type? It isn't like the universe invented guns, making swords and arrows obsolete.
I was hoping for some kind of modern crossbow being stand in for guns since this is still a kid show, but as technology advances, why not weapons?
How the fuck did toph get so short? I mean I know she's like in her 80s but I don't think you shrink 2 feet as you get older .
My great gandfather was 6'2, when he died at the age of 90 he barely 4 feet.
Bone degeneration? It's fairly common in the older generations, or maybe she's just hunched over.

Question: What happened to Sokka? He's dead we've been told, but besides a few flashbacks in book 1, we haven't been told much about him. Kinda feels like he's getting shafted when all these other old major characters get talked about.
well if I remember right, didn't Sokka die while protecting Korra as a little kid from the Red Lotus? that's a pretty badass way to go, protecting the Avatar
If we see Katara and Zuko together in book 4, I really hope they have a silly argument together, I loved in airbender the chemistry between the two characters.
but if the avatar spirit thing was only in her head why does the little spirit that went to aid korra see it as well. also hallucinations don't blast you half way across the swamp. i think it might of started in her head and then manifested into its own. either that or there is a spirit out there who is just picking on korra to keep her down.
I can't wait to see what happens next episode. I hope it's a direct follow on of Korra Alone.
What be crazy is if Korra becomes the Avatar host of Both the deities and I think that the hallucination is a representation of Avatar State and she doesnt realize it yet.

Good observation. I bet she did. She already invented metal bending, and seeing as other people have discovered lavabending, I'd believe it if she did too. Way to go Toph.

When they showed the pot of whatever Toph was cooking did anyone else she that she wasn't using fire to cook it, she was using lava. I think Toph was the first lava bender and taught the lava bender from season 3. Who agrees?

I'm wondering if Toph may have reached enlightenment under the banyan-grove tree like Huu did, in that same swamp. Because Toph was on a journey to reach enlightenment after all.
the reson why I think jinora could revive raava is because harmonic convergence wasn't over yet so vaatu can't clame victory until harmonic convegence ends plus jinora said that her spirit isn't as powerfull as it was during harmonic convergence so sine you need powerfull spirit abilities like jinora's in harmonic convergence you won't be able to revive vaatu until he eventualy grows out of the avatar (I wonder if the avatar from 9000 years in the future will have ravaa and vaatu inside him/her)
Rewatching the Book 4 trailer, it looks like those new Metal Clan mechs can shoot lightning and at some point Bolin will become a fugitive from Kuvira. Perhaps he discovers her terrible secret or plan and needs to run and warn his friends. I do wonder though who's side Varrick is really on and what his agenda is and whether he supports Kuvira.

Hey Charlie, how cool would it be if the dark Korra Following the Avatar was actually Vatu inside her resurfacing and manifesting as all her doubts and fears, and Janora will again have to extract a spirit, this time from Korra, to save her from the growing darkness within her.
This is probably not what they are doing but I would enjoy something like that.

Random thought but is the 'theme' for this book about too much control (Kuvira - sorry if that is not spelled right)? Kind of like how book 3 was about too much chaos (Red Lotus) and so that's why this book is called Balance, so then we can see how Korra is gonna juggle/solve both problems (Kuvira and the Red Lotus/Earth Kingdomy stuff) and achieve peace? And also how she is going to achieve balance within herself (referring to her 'Dark Avatar' which could or could not be a hallucination and which is obviously a big problem). Again, just a thought! I'd love to hear anyone elses opinion on this!
Kuvira seemed to bully a lot of the Earth Kingdom into joining them. It makes me uncomfortable to think about her having to bully the Kioshi Warriors. They can really handle themselves, so why would they join her?

Is anybody here, who thinks it's possible that Korra is meeting Zaheer later in this season? I mean, well.. she has really big mental problems and Toph is probably helping Korra become healthy. I think that Korra needs to face her fears directly and.. as we saw in some flashbacks.. Zaheer is a really big deal for Korra even after all this time. Well I have to say that I'm a giant fan of Zaheer and it would be nice to see him again although he would not be the villain again.

I agree. Zaheer clearly traumatized Korra and needs to find a way to over come that damage he did to her mind, making the pain from the poison cause her to flash back to Zaheer. So I think she needs to see him once she's better again.

I actually just got into the legend of Korra recently. I was a big fan of the last air bender, but when korra debuted, I guess I just didn't feel into it. Getting caught up was fun, but I feel some of the plot twists were hit or miss. When they say that they are done with the series, do they mean there won't be another avatar show after Korra? I think a fully avatar cycle would be awesome, one in modern day, and one sci fi oriented one.
i think the swamp is in the spirit world. i mean, the spirit returned into its normal form upon arriving there.
I think that Rava left Korra but wasn't able to go back inside her when Sue revived her. Korra still has her bending but Rava might have her spiritual parts
season 4 is great so far
People saying there will never be another Avatar series need to rethink that. Mike and Bryan want to take a break, which is understandable, having been doing this for 12 years with hardly any break. They have said they don't want to do more with animation in this universe, but the property is strong. I'm sure Nickelodeon doesn't want to pay for it anymore, which is causing them to say that, but I think if someone really wanted there to be more, some other network that would treat the franchise with respect, they would shell out whatever it takes for Nick to give up the rights.

To the person who didn't understand why Vaatu wasn't in the Tree of time - did you not watch the season 2 finale or what? Unavaatu was destroyed. Giant Spirit Korra used the waterbending skill she learned from Unalaq to disintegrate Vaatu's Spirit. The next time Vaatu will reemerge is at Harmonic Convergence in 10,000 years, or shortly before it.

Also did that guy not see Kuvira completely embarrass those bandits? Like seriously, metal benders are just overpowerd to begin with depending on how far you're willing to take it, and Kuvira can just handcuff you slam you to the floor and send a blade through your face. Kuviras gonna kill somebody I'm sure.... Maybe Chief Beifong... That'd be intense, and a crazy battle.
Season 3 episode 6 of avatar the Last airbender. Toph ask aang at the end of the episode"do you really think friendships can last more than 1 lifetime. And aang grabs tops hand and basically says yes.

Hi, I read a lot of what is coming to the last season of korra and they said that there's a lot of the old character coming back for a while including Azula,so ¿Does this mean that they will show us and explination of what happend with her after she runaway in The Search comic?

I'm guessing Toph passed away. The Toph we saw last episode is her spirit. We saw the dog change into that weird rabbit and it's obvious spirits can show themselves there. Toph lost contact with the world because she's a spirit now. She knows the swap so well because... Well, you get my point. Why would she leave her children?
