Hi, Got a question. How come the battle at 0:42 made you victorious if it's the very hard battle mode campaign? I don't think that should be the case if that's the mode you play on. 400 vs 800 on automatic should be a crushing defeat. The main difference between easy and hard mode is exactly that one among many others.
1. It is hard campaign mode not very hard. The battles were very hard mode. 2. It is a siege, I have walls. 3. We do not know their troop composition. Might have been all peasants. 4. The auto resolve battles are easier than regular battles.

Still, campaign difficulty shouldnt have anything to do with battle performance. I agree with the second statement. It surely helps and favors the one with the wall in auto-decision battles. Also, i agree with the third statement as a statment, however i think pc never attacks with lower quality army, especially on hard battle mode. And, lastly, it should be the opposite, the auto resolve battles are always harder than manually doing it, if its the hard mode battle campaign. If it were the easy one than okay, then it makes sense. Maybe you confused it. For example, its more like if you lose the battle on auto, you still got a chance to win it manually. But, if you can't win it manually, then for sure its always a loss on automatic, whereas on a easy mode its the opposite - you always got a chance to win on auto, no matter if you win or lose manually. In Rome Total War and Remastered you have 3 Roman families, they are allied to S.P.Q.R. (Rome, Purple) and to each other, each of them has a goal, Julii (Red) is focused on invading the barbarian tribes, Gaul, Brittania and Germania. The Scipii (Blue) is focused on invading Africa (Carthage, Numidia) and finally the Brutii (Green) they invade Greece (Macedon, Greek City States) and eventually go deep into Asia minor. However there is a catch, you can't attack your fellow Roman families until the civil war, while playing the Romans you get missions from the Senate, they reward you with tons of denarii or units, these vary from taking settlements they want you to take or blockade trade routes (Ports), this will increase your standing with the Senate if you keep doing what they tell you to do, this will benefit your generals with new traits. Late game the civil war starts and this can be a huge problem if your fellow Roman families have been expanding. The civil war starts when your populairty with the People has gained enough points. But ofcourse you can do whatever you want, if you are playing as the Julii (Red) you still can invade Greece for example, this will also benefit you because the Brutii (Green) won't be expecting you to go to Greece and thus aren't able to expand as they should. Also you can just ignore the Senate missions overall. The S.P.Q.R. (Purple) can't be played on the official release but you can alter a game file to make them playable, they play exactly the same as the other Romans but they can't build temples and, also while in game there's a Senate tab to check your senate missions and standings, this will crash the game if you play as the S.P.Q.R.. Overall why they chose 3 Roman families is because a unified Rome would not be able to expand in all directions like when they do when they're seperate factions.

It is the journey not the destination that we enjoy. But yeah, it is a let down.
