yes! just a "daily in-the-life" style vlog! these are what I was hoping to see you start up again. the content doesn't always have to be action packed with racing or surfing. Alot of us enjoy seeing just how you go about life day to day. Seeing the parts of life that aren't always action packed. is something social media doesn't show often. And to me at least, the hard work shown in between the action packed days. is what helps motivate me to reach my goals.

I liked this episode so much that I watched it 4 times. First off, it's Monaco. This is the place where you belong. Secondly, finally music that doesn't suck. Poor musical choice can easily ruin the whole edit.

Warping could be a result of low frame rate?
No seperate toilet in that big expensive new boat? So when you're spending a romantic weekend on board, at night someone basically has to pee while being in the same room. You REALLY might want to reconsider that. You'll also find when dayboating that people don't want to go use the loo if it's just sat under the bed in the cabin. Been there, done that. Seperate loo an absolute necessity, trust me.

@@RandomVideos-hm3kg I think one bed is okay, it looks like a double so for a couple to get away for a weekend or for someone to go have an afternoon siesta it's fine. I get that it's clearly not a cruiser. But the lack of a seperate toilet in a boat that size and price is really not nice. No one wants that lack of privacy.

Split the decision.. TV to Benny and get a small LED or Laser Pico projector and project the TV on the white wall when needed. Projector can be stored in the drawer until needed and works quiet well, get one that supports Bluetooth for private listening (no bothering Janni), and that also has Horizontal and Vertical keystone so it can be places anywhere in the room. XGIMI makes a few good options. 👍🏼

Hilarious! This did feel like the "old" vlog days. I dont have a preference over whether I like just you walking and talking vs a cinematic masterpiece, but the old days just remind me of a lot of time spent watching you. Honestly quantity over quality is better sometimes because even when it's "boring" it still feels like we are getting to hangout with you guys. Having watched you for so long, it feels like watching family movies and you can watch family do literally anything. So film whatever kind of vlogs you want. Whatever it takes to make you excited to produce content and hangout with us.
This Vlog was so much better than the ones before. Thanks for listening to your community. Content wise there is still room to improve but this Vlog made me exited for what is coming next. Team Overkill is back :D

good: love the color grading, bokeh, transitions, music, sound effects, content
bad: dont like the camera shake in the new setup @10:06 , maybe still getting used to it but doesnt seem to have as good of stabilization. and sound seems a bit poor at distance.

I think the weight of the old setup probably helped a bit with the shakiness too.
Imo I don't really care about the camera setup, as long its good Im happy, I used to work with editing and I still think that a vlog is all about what you film not what you film with

Always love the quality! That a6500 rolling shutter is pretty rough, but be prepared to carry 6-10 batteries for a day of shooting with it!

Love the new camera but its seems the Otherwise one had better image stabilization?
Seeing all these positive comments makes me really happy and of course, good job on the new vlog, it was amazing! No need to speed up through a week's worth of events and compress the little material you shot into a 10 minute vlog when you can just find an amazing day per week and make an awsome vlog with all the cool edits and stuff.

I really liked this vlog because it seems you took the criticism from the previous vlogs and changed up to the better with this vlog. The boat part at the beginning was exactly what this vlog needs; updates about your projects. And I love that you don't try to make a secret about the outcome of your boat and showed us the 3D models instead. In my eye you're back on track to perfection.

It is good to have a special room for special activities if you can afford it. Setting attitude and expectations for sleep in one special room is sacred in a way...a good night's sleep is essential for health.

You asked multiples times to avoid pointless comments such as “your new Vlog sucks !”...I totally agree with that !
Since I still enjoy watching your vlogs, and in exchange of the hard work you and Benni put in those,I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to post my very first feedback on a UA-cam video ;)
First of all, please excuse the length of this comment, but it’s hard to summarize in a few words !
I should introduce myself, so you will have a little bit of a background ;)
My name is Stéphane, I am 40 years old, live in Strasbourg (France).
I’m Head of a consultancy department in a Digital Communication Agency, but that’s not very important in this thoughts ;)
I watch your vlogs since 2 years now. I known you as a famous skier and I discovered Your channel because of a UA-cam recommendations feed.
Back in these days I used to watch Casey Neistat, Peter McKinnon, Marques Brownlee, and more UA-camrs like those.
As you I have a lot of passions and I watch these videos because I expect to learn something new about stuff from making videos (for personal use exclusively:)), tech, innovation to woodworking ?!?!?! Pretty eclectic, No ?
I like to know how things work, how to make them, and specially the conception steps....
This reminds me the thousands times you talked about the same thing.
That leads me to a feeling called “empathy” :)
I would be more than happy if I could jump deep into several projects, but that’s not fair.
I simply can’t be as good as the experts who has chosen one way!
So, what’s the point?
From daily “overkill” vlogs, here we are, with a new season, new weekly uploads in a more casual way...
And that’s totally fine to me!
But I sometimes miss these overkill’s vlog...
Maybe you could find balance between these two?
The fact is that it’s impossible to do “overkill’s” stuff everyday, none of us could do that!
Maybe you could dive deeper in some projects (it might be difficult considering the confidential aspects, but...) to have a red line?
Or maybe you’re evolving faster than your audience and you should consider that you are not able to cover all the requests and simply ignore the haters and keep doing what you love? The audience will follow, leave, change, but good work will always pay :)
As for a music band which have a fan base who will always show their love, but also which will disappoint some of them while releasing a new album because of a style change...and gather other fans because of this same change..

I would love to share more and more but there are too many things that I could add to this...not sure that a “UA-cam comment” is suitable ;)

Hi Jon, I'd just like to give a huge thanks for the effort in yours and Jannis lightroom presets in collab with Bakke. Preparing to other presets out on the market, these are thought through and really useful without destroying images.. Ofcourse all presets needs some tweaking on your own images but these are great starters in matters of saving time and quality on your images. Thanks alot to both of you!

Friend, in addition to your new A6500 you should have also purchased several Sony APSC lenses, these are much lighter to carry all day. Janni's FujiFilm camera uses APSC glass & it's lighter to carry on the go.
Honestly while this is good gear, this is still light years from the stunning images you had in your older vlogs with the Leica...
People just think leica is better.... But it's not...
