This reminds me of my winter hikes in F.Banks Alaska. I would hike for three days in the dark winter. I could never get away from the noise of snow machines. I think noise and light pollution are things most never think about.
Good Video Buddy! Watching this knowing my snowmobile isn't getting fixed this year... makes me feel a little better seeing people getting some snow bogging in!
that was very cool. the x3 could benifit from ski like gards to slide over rather than dig in, and some rear steer. that turning circles going to cause more driving problems, also you could hang storage bins off the rear bumper in track form for extender use and gear. haha the designer inside love seeing you engerneer your ridesawsome vids!!
Great video, very obvious the new Can am tracks work the best, could you add into the description the name of all the track types used. Kudos to the first timers on tracks in the snow, wow! Watching your video, I have learned that when using tracks and need to winch out of the snow when stuck is to attach the cable up high on a tree and not to spin the tracks fast this way there is lift from the winch and cable attachment location to get back up on top of the snow, and by not spinning tracks which digs the machine back into the snow a person can get a machine out of the snow whole👍😁 Great video for learning! I think I have it figured out befor I even get tracks! Way to awesome!
I remember when you could get stuck in that snow with a snowmobile from the 70's/80's. You lose some of the thrill when you know you can't get stuck now with a new sled, unless you do it on purpose. Makes me wanna get tracks for my ATV and rip it up.
Tree saver and use a pulley, those winch are good but not indestructible, I know those synthetic cables are supposed to be safe but I have seen them snap sometimes so stand clear ..... but great ride , good drivers and very good video Sir 👍
Sweet..u guys shud of threw a couple tubes in for sliding lol..anyhow I bet those pipes sounded awesome echoing in the mountains..X3 sounds good too me stock..gtta love that whistle..
Looked like the weather up there was pretty good, everyone did pretty good for a first time out. Your not having fun unless you get stuck once or twice!
Nice pull oh ya but u didn't back down it 😁 .yeti just ripping it no problem ..she almost had that hill too great stuff guys ..cheers love the view .🤗😁🤗😁
Looks like a fun day. I used to do this with my grizzly, but I bought a timbersled and spend more time riding and no time winching now. Just an FYI, towing with the winch is hard on them, better to use a strap.
this is awesome but I wouldn't stand so close to those cables when winching you'd be surprised what they can do if they snap and whip you. I've seen them break bones.
Is there anything you guys can’t find to get stuck in up there? 😂. Even with the stucks (makes it more fun) it still looks like a blast...if you’re not getting stuck then you’re not trying hard enough 😎. Always fun watching your videos 🤟🏼
ostacruiser thanks for being that guy that made us want to do it 🤙🏼 Saskatchewan is high on that list now that the South has been conquered(ish) and seen. 😎
Man do i ever dread the change of season like right now here in Canada (april 16) lol. Sled 2 Quad Transition. But how i love those big snow flakes! Good stuff.
Hello. I'm from Russia. Omsk city. Siberia. Really like your videos with snowboarding. Question: how do you imagine the video. Very high quality videos.
Hey Osta, I love watching you all have all that much fun, makes me wish I had a 4wheeler or side by side. One of these days I will get one and have that much fun as well. Stay safe and keep making videos. I will watch as often as I can here in Iraq. SGT R
Been there, done that over 15 years ago. You will learn the rules of ratio and proportion, support and engagement, weight and balance plus you need to look at the means of survival. You, are out in forbidden land and if you do not have buddies to get you unstuck then, you might not make it home for dinner. Iguana
I seen Darold with his rvr and renegade and him and my dad wear talking I said *dad I see your friend machines* and my dad said ok let’s go to him* this is like yetis first time getting stuck lol! Your videos are the best intel something breaks like the winch and it did lol got stuck really good there lol this video was AWSOME!! Tiger tail to the again! Wow! So good keep the good content up!please pin this comment!
A friend and I have tracks on our Can Am ATVs. In deep snow, I smelled my belt overheating and backed backed off the throttle. But my friend continued riding hard. This promptly destroyed his belt, despite having custom primary and secondary clutches. QUESTION: Do either the riders here or viewers use supplemental fans to force additional belt cooling, and if so, what is used?
Fans only work at very slow speeds. Anything after that they become a choke point for air, clean, well functioning clutches should be all you need. If it is super deep or thick then ride in low range. Aftermarket clutches do help a ton though
ostacruiser Thanks for the reply and the great video. Although some people suggest it, I suspected that any practical sized 12 Volt fan would only draw perhaps 20 Watts - too weak to help much. Also, axial fans only flow well if there is no back pressure. Squirrel cage blower fans handle back pressure better. Still, drawing at least couple hundred Watts may be needed to provide sufficient air flow. (But, I'd really like a GEARED transmission)
which tracks is the blue renegade running? hearing lots of mixed reviews that some say tracks are always broken others saying they are the best thing since sliced bread. thinking on a track setup for next year maybe the t4s but I go pretty remote near golden bc and can't have tracks falling apart when im 3 hours in the bush
Both are fun. On this day we took 5 people up the hill who had never been in the mountains in their life. Try that on a mountain sled lol..we would still be in the parking lot😅😅
That was a rough day, but surely an exciting video!!! Awesome job!
Thumbs up #131 It was 70 degrees yesterday, and I was in shorts. This morning, we got snow. 01:15 That scenery. wow!
Thanks for watching dude!!

Dang Mrs Osta full SAVAGE MODE on the turn and climb! wow!
Hahah she was on point!! But driving in low range. She could have murdered those hills in high lol
For sure Darold told me she is sick now when I seen him 2 days ago
Great vid Osta! Looking forward to project depth finder and spring
Wow just beautiful views all the way around osta soo jealous man lol
Good Video Buddy! Watching this knowing my snowmobile isn't getting fixed this year... makes me feel a little better seeing people getting some snow bogging in!
It's mind boggling how much snow they get up in those areas every year.
Awesome video! Thanx!

Agree 100% 🤣🤣
Those back country tracks🏋️🏋️
Смех задорный))).Отличная покатушка,отличная техника👍👍👍
For ur ramps weld a locking clamp or use short chains or straps to hold them
I definitely need to upgrade to 3000lb ramps also 🤣🤣
More this awesome videos please! Greetings from Finland!

Excellent video thanks for sharing and keep em coming
Agreed dude! She rocks!!
Great video! What a ride . BBRRAAPP!
Perfect.
Definatly would like to see a time lapse of thawing them machines out!
It was so warm down at the bottom. They were thawed and dry by morning
@@ostacruiser meanwhile down in Wisconsin we had snow two days ago, today 57 and sunny... now 4-5 days of rain lmao
that looks like a lot of fun!
It was a blast!!! We got to team up next year!!
Those things look fun!

You guys make quads and side by sides look so much more fun. Just can’t afford the $30,000 price tag.
Some people get everything
looks like a good time

I love EPS
Pretty cool ,,, You guys needed a 10 foot snow bungee .....
I see some modifications coming for the trailer and ramps.
Definitely need a better system haha
Hahaha! As I am wheeling in 80 degree weather here in AZ! Well done again! Great vid!
x3 is a beast!!! love my Xmr x3....might need to get some tracks!
GOOD VİDEO OFROAD
hell yah!
Hello from Russia, you are great
Thank you my friend
But why would you even buy tracks for a quad (I understand the side-by-side) but why not just use a snowmobile?
Ostacruisers are only happy when they're stuck. So you must be ecstatic.
Hello. I'm from Russia. Omsk city. Siberia. Really like your videos with snowboarding. Question: how do you imagine the video. Very high quality videos.
Definitely should be using snatch blocks for the bigger machines less work on the motor and easy to winch but amazing video
nice ride would love to b up there! ur machine wrks grt. wondered how u kno so many ppl with nice toys but they r all yours? lol

Wow. A little snow defeats those things. A 70's short track sled would do better!
Bring one out and lets go for a rip
Как там у вас снега много , мне бы на своем Тингере 500 катануть у вас . )))
Except for the bad winching techniques, the video was awesome 👍⚜️🇨🇦
What'd we do wrong?
Square up to the tree before you get stuck duh 🙄

Try strapping the ramps to the trailers so nobody has to stand on it..
Heck yea 599k an climbing!
Heck ya!!!! Party time!!!
lol hold my mittens.
U should have used two bikes too winch it backwards ..it would have been easy on the machines and u ...cheers 🤠🤠🤠🤠

I would put a 8000lb on the x3s and 5000lb on the quads
How fast can that outlander xmr go with tracks on!
👍🔥
Diets is whats needed!
Lol okay mom
Any recommendations on tie rods replacement on a 2015 outty xt?

Low gear for crawling? And the rest was ok hi gear?
