Matt dislikes hand signals but I noticed he was all over the trail on turns and straights. At one point they were two abreast! I’m a good enough rider to ride one handed and Matt is a much better rider than me so I think he can handle signals. Giving signals gets riders to focus right and be safe. One more thing, if you want to race with your buddies, which I love to do; race at night. Almost zero traffic and when there is traffic you can see the headlights coming. Be safe all!
I’ve never been on a rider forward sled that can keep up or handles like the old sit down 121” sleds. They all push compared to a well set up trailing arm sled. Your back will always thank you, though so there is that!

I actually started following Matt years ago, cause I have been trail riding Muskoka my entire life, not realizing Matt's channel was 99% mountain riding out west. I have come to enjoy watching Matt's incredible photo/video work. So this was a complete surprise to see a trail type video from my backyard area where i ride. Love the plywood plow idea! Most years we have so many melt downs we typically got lots of days to radar run on fast ice conditions, but we used to always need to plow a track back when we had normal winters. Super cool video work with that 360 cam, i really need to step up my videos with one! The lake racing/GPS running reminds me of my entire childhood hanging out on Lake of Bays with the guys around Dwight. Super cool to see this video Matt, love it! BTW which Kenny was that on the Mach Z? I really love my Mach, still bone stock with just my clutching and works well. Mine definitely has more Turbo flutter sound on my videos than your 850r turbo makes. Wondering if his Mach Z is all stock? More and more guys are running the McX 210hp piggyback kit which seems to work well. Cheers brother!
Completely agree with doing away with the sled(s) behind hand signals. Keep both hands on the bars and keep right. If everyone rides on the right then it doesn't matter how many sleds are coming.
The Kenny you were racing looks so much like a riding buddy/grade school friend I have in North Bay named Kenny… who rides a 900 Turbo R. Love the trail riding content. Got my first decently long trail ride in today, and my oldest daughter’s first big trail ride since getting her license this summer after turning 12. Gotta keep the family tradition alive, she’s a 4th gen sledder.

Some continuity errors with the b-roll but still a great video. Trail rider here who just enjoys watching the mountain riding. Great to see a mix of videos. Hope this does really well so you do more in the future.
Your exact reasoning is why I don’t trail ride. Not into meeting others that are doing 100+ in the straights and I know damn near half have had a drink since they started riding. Wasn’t for me 🤷♂️
Hey its not for everyone i guess but for myself i love to ride it all. Trails lakes mountains fields evan water. Been riding fast trail for 35 years maybe more nobody has ever hit me but once when i was a kid. Just a side swipe no big deal still here to talk about it. Iv wrecked sleds all on my own its all about being careful looking out for others. U have more of a chance dying or getting injured driving ur car than on snowmobile trails. More idiots on roads today than ever 😂.
I put thousands of miles on trail rides back in the day with my grampa. They were always a good time. He was 1 and only reason I stayed in sledding and got into some mountain riding later.
I disagree I personally like it when people let me know how many behind. Sometimes the leader is fairly far a head of the rest. I like knowing when I can get on it again. The trails aren't like highways they aren't wide enough nor are they a one way trail system like some are. I am always happy when someone let's me know how many and if they are the last one. No need for 2 hands on the bars at that point as your usual only doing 30 or so. Your not ripping at 80 still etc.
Great video. This guy does 1 trail video ever and it’s 100 times better than any of the videos the trail channels put out. Theres nobody that puts out any good trail content especially in Ontario
New ski doos (at least trail sleds, idk about mountain sleds) won’t let you use them to their full potential until you get a few hundred miles on them. My 600R peaked at about 80mph but once I got 500 miles on it the thing went 112mph on a lake
the break-in mode is a real thing. With my '24 900R I noticed a couple extra hundred RPM's... has to be making more boost after break-in. Not a ton, but enough to notice.
You should get your eyes checked. Being in the middle of the trail is a lot different then cutting right to the inside. I have plenty of time to correct at those speeds
I live in BC and am into mountain sledding, so watch your content mainly for your rad Revi vids BUT I grew up in Ontario and had a cottage on Kawagama (Lower Fletcher Bay across from the narrows). I love seeing your content from that amazing area! In your vid last spring you blasted right by our old cottage (family sold it years ago 😔). Thanks for the fun vids.. both BC + Ont editions.. 👌🏼
Kinda surprised with those 850 boost pulling away from that mxz typically skidoo has always been a touch faster but that was cool to see being a Polaris guy 👍🏼
Need to do another video after a thousand miles. My 20 900 t Enduro has 7600 miles and runs so smooth at any speed. Been wanting to program it and set the clutches but then I'd have to get a new 2 ply track and studs so the extra 2 grand and little snow we get I'm fine with what I have. Still fast as hell for a cruiser.
Call Clark at Bergstrom gets some Canadian skegs on those rigs Boyz Haliburton Forest was slick today ! cheers.... 104MPH is all I could get at the radar run on 23' XCR 1.6 studded 128" stock clutches

Many say that trail riding is boring but when 2-3 buddies have similar size machines and push each other a bit there's nothing boring about trail riding in my book! Nice video
Yeah I'm from northern Michigan and they have trails up here I was heading back home from Gaylord and the was a group of guys in the center of the trail just hanging out .. I either had to crash in the giant boulders or the 4x4 post .. Ithe snowmobile broke one post my body broke 3.😢
