富山県に伝わる「こきりこ節」を25絃箏ソロで編曲・演奏しました。
この曲は日本の民謡の中で最も古い民謡とされ、五穀豊穣を願って舞い、歌い継がれています。
力強いメロディーラインが心にダイレクトに伝わり、日本古来の心地良いグルーヴを感じられる曲です。
I arranged and played "Kokirikobushi",which is a traditional song from Toyama prefecture, solo on a 25-string koto.
It is considered to be the oldest folk song in Japan and has been danced to and sung in the hope of a good harvest.
It is a song that conveys a powerful melody directly to your heart and lets you feel the satisfying groove of ancient Japan.

What is unique is the light which filters through the various paper lanterns and umbrellas. It forms a background which is unmistakably Japanese in origin. I do not know much about koto-type music, but if you do another video, please consider the use of bamboo to filter the light such as that found at Hokokuji near Kamakura. Another choice are wisteria when they are in bloom, similar to Kimetsu no Yaiba. Sorry I am not sure which song would be best for such a relaxing background. ありがとうございます。
