(in English)
"Greeed", the ancient monsters, rebirth from the 800 years slumber. In order to regain their absolute body, they hunt around precious "O Medals" which has miracle power, while manipulating humanity's desire. Eiji Hino, a young wonderer, meets the disembodied arm of the "Greeed", named Ankh. Ankh encourages Eiji to save the people from evil "Greeed" and to get "O Medals" as KAMEN RIDER.

4:02 - 5:18 still one of my favourite villain introductions. Soldiers fighting monsters, only to absolutely get recked by them, all the while Koagmi is making a cake while Happy Birthday is playing in the background. Just Beautiful.

Only scene I can think of that comes close, is when Golgom receives a major power boost in later episodes in Kamen Rider Black.
They start wreaking havoc on citizens while the police are powerless to do anything.

His base form is "Taka, Tora, Bata" literally "Hawk, Tiger, Grasshopper". Tora never means Lion it is only Tiger.

Absolutely!! I am now only on episode 12 but this show has stunned me in every aspects!!!! So much great but very under rated I think; very rarely people talk about it while they talk more about worse kabuto, den o, kiva, decade.
For me this is the best!! (though I've only watched Kuuga, Agito, Ryuki, Faiz, W so far)

So far, my fav is still Agito. Good story plot, not-boyband type of Rider, cool henshin (no complicated henshin items).
I will put this OOO into my list. Hopefully the story plot is as good as or even better than Agito's.

In the ipad thingy it says that ankh has his core medals but in reality he only has 2 red medals and the other ones are in his body.
Yeas it's ooo, even it's only 2 episodes I'm happy that we get the rider with biggest heart in my books
I agree about being glad about even the 2 episodes per show, but unless I get a chance to watch the rest of OOO I won't know if I would agree about Eiji being kinder than Godai, although he's definitely kinder than Onodera.
My favorite Rider! The first Kamen Rider I watched. Gotta love the themes of greed, grief, and hope in this one.
Also, Shu Watanabe as Eiji is just dreamy 😍

@@siddhartha51 I've seen classic, Faiz, Den-O, W, OOO (of course), Fourze, Wizard, Ghost and Ex-Aid, though I've only finished OOO.
It kind of goes downhill post-Gatakiriba, but it still beats all the others (Ex-Aid could compete early on, but fell off harder).

I was wondering if I'd see you here. It's been a while.
FINALLY!!! Time to count the medals!!! This is ALWAYS the recommendation I would make to anyone wanting to get into Kamen Rider. Starting from Decade was great, W was awesome, and for OOO....SUBARASHI!!!!! The characters, the villains, and the story just excelled so much it would be my favorite of all Hesei riders and all riders.
How was Ankh’s medal outside the tomb if it was sealed in the tomb?

I've 2 theories for that. It breaks into the spoiler parts, so if you're new to the season please skip this:
1. Kougami Foundation didn't remove the seal and tomb from the place of origin. Which means that the museum was built on the land where the 'Berserk King' accident happened. It just happened that the accident puts a toll on Ankh's consciousness and make him asleep for 800 years. The reason he was awake in this episode is because there are humans with greedy desires within close vicinity to the tomb and medals. And as we all knew, Greeed feeds on desire so...
To counter this theory, the tomb was supposed to absorbed all cell medals back then. So even if Ankh's conscious core model wasn't absorbed into the tomb, how the hell there are cell medals around him to form a working limb? This brings to my other theory which is:
2. Dr M planned for the revival of Greeed, so he discretely placed Ankh's core medal and cell medals near the tomb. He did this as to not alert Kougami on his scheme.

I like when superhero shows make it clear why the hero ends up being the only one fighting the monsters most of the time.
Or when normal people are shown joining the fight and being effective.
Either way works.
This is my favorite when I was a kid untill now I'm in highschool 😃

It'd be nice if we get more than 1-2 episodes Toei. Try rolling out the entire series.
OOO’s is one of my all time favorites, great characters, great suits, great music! It’s the full package.
And now we get to, what I would argue as, one of the best kamen rider shows from top to bottom. Also, one of the most (and I mean this in the utmost positive way possible) non straight rider shows. The chemistry between both births for example (I wouldn't be shocked if one day those actors were like "yeah, we dating". XD). Those suits were so stylish yet simple with a gimmick that I felt didn't hit me over the head. Eiji is a dope protagonist with a very interesting approach to the whole "I'm the main hero" complex.
I would love a return cross over of chase and ankh. Kamen rider ankh maybe?

am i missing something in translation? i swear in a later episode ankh said eiji was the only one who could be OOO because he opened the box. but ankh opened the box, so why should eiji be stuck in the job? or is the translation wrong?
That, or Ankh only trusts Eiji with OOO. It's also possible that he was actually awakened by something Eiji was dreaming of, given how potent his desires have proven.

Call me old & whatever. But I haven't watched Tokusatsu for a very very long time. What happened? They all seemed to change so much, it's either too dark or too silly. This 1 seems to be overly silly but tries to be serious & it's just feels more like a soap opera. What happened?
