Someone asked be what it takes to be a good teacher, here are my top 10 qualities I feel a teacher needs to be successful. Let me know what you think!
I really appreciate ALL of your videos. I am currently working toward my B.S.E. in Social Science. I start my "High School Observation Class" this coming semester. I'm really looking forward to it. Keep making videos. Your very informative for people, like myself, who have absolutely no hands-on experiences in the classroom setting.
This video is full of wonderful advice. I feel that many of my friends who went to school to teach would have saved a lot of money, time, and frustration if they'd seen this video. As a fairly new educator, I absolutely found this video helpful and motivating- makes me want to be in my classroom right this second! Thanks!
It worked thanks.I talked to her about it and it was because i broke a chair accidentally ,she thought it was on purpose.
I am not a teacher, nor a student. I am just a grown up person wondering wat it is to inspire young minds and create interest in studies. I saw your video and I liked it. Firstly, you have that calming voice a teacher should have. and your ideas are gud too. Thanks for sharing this knowledge.
for me as a new teacher it was very helpfull - thank you :)
Talking is ALWAYS a good first step.
Glad it worked out.
Thank you for your kind words!
I wrote a book for new teachers that cover the topics of my videos and more, it may be helpful too, "The Art of Teaching" what they didn't tell you in college.
Thanks for the vid. Good teachers are the most important people in the world. I feel passionately about this and I appreciate the advice.
I'm a private lesson teacher and most of your tips are still so applicable. I find that empathy is the key for me. Not emotional involvement as you mentioned, but the ability to get inside their learning process and the ability to get excited about the small breakthroughs they have even if you've seen those same breakthroughs before. Great vid. thumbs up!
Sorry to hear that.
nice video Mr G
Try to see things from their point of view and check if YOU are doing something that you might not be aware of. Ask someone in the class if what you feel is true is actually true. Be sure you are not rude first or making the teacher feel a need to retaliate.
If someone is rude to you, it is OK to say, "That was rude, why did you say that?" You might just get an answer if you say it politely.
Thank you for sharing, I hope it is helpful advice. I have a book as well based on my channel, The Art of Teaching, What they didn't tell you in college.
One of my teachers is actually mean to me.As in bully mean.Just saying rude things and punishing me for nothing. She even lied to my parents at a conference what should I do?
Thank you. How do I message you? I do not see a way on your channel.
@tejalshahh
Thank you, Much appreciated!
None of those apply to my teacher :(
