Dyer makes a good point regarding England 🏴 our (so called) golden generation had to compete with many other countries golden generations. We lost to Brazil and it looks awful because that a tournament we didn’t win. No one speaks of the other teams. Also, Litterally one team every 2 years can win the international tournaments. Fine margins can be the difference of success and failure. It comes down to one game in a knockout usually against another team that deserves to be there.
Also it is widely know now that the England team back then didn’t get along 100% with Man Utd players keeping cards close to there chests form Liverpool players visa-versa. Players did take a large portion of the blame.

Before even starting this conversation let's at least see Sancho play for Dortmund for the rest of the season to assess wheter Utd was actually the problem(which it may be considering how many players were ruined by this toxic club).
I don't think the door is completely closed for him. Saka isn't really performing this season, so RW position for england might be up for grabs. If Sancho regains his pre-united form, when he was considered just as much of a promising talent as Bellingham or Haaland, there's no reason to not consider him for the euros. But for now, it's not the best time to start this conversation

He will play in LW role in Dortmund because Bynoe-gittens is not that good at the moment. Bundesliga is not an easy league, just look at Bynoe-gittens for example.
Why Sancho and Bellingham were able? Because they are real talent (wunderkind) not mediocre talent like Bynoe-gittens.

The "Golden Generation" didn't not win anything because of Penalties, they lost because they just weren't even close to be good enough as a unit - they were poor to watch and every thing was forced. Little team chemistry, little team work - and a good thing they didn't win anything because that approach would have been vindicated. Shows you Southgate's success is far better because both the international scene is more broadly competitive but also far less "big" teams and yet he can get better results from simply having better morale in the squad. Poor really. England should have won many more titles in the last 20 years considering, really is inappropriate coaching decisions.

Ten Haag's only missing piece to his management style is his inability to keep his cool.
He always looks like he's afraid of being sacked. He's now, to his credit, becoming more composed and thought out in interviews. More so due to the fact that his emotions get the best of him and his squad is becoming few to mess with due to player availability.
Pep, as much as he is emotional, he is very stern and stands to watch without moving an inch making sure his plan went to action or else someone gets the Axe. While also expecting respect from both players involved and having behind closed doors talks about how to improve instead of just what he did wrong.

Dortmund have been a much bigger presence in European football since 2014 than United and it continues to do so. Where are United right now? Europa League? Conference League? Nothing. Dortmund are still in the Champions League and have won a group with PSG, Milan and Newcastle.
