LOWRIDER MODEL Poses in 61 Impala on Whittier Blvd

- Experiencing Car Culture with Skid Society Car Vlogs; revisiting the automotive art form native to California; Lowriding. This video is the tenth part of a Lowrider Cruise Event and Classic Car Show on Whittier Blvd in East Los Angeles, Southern California, right after the Los Angeles Lowrider Magazine Super Show 2022 took place.
This Whittier Blvd Lowrider Cruise Night was completely packed with clean rides and lowrider cars; everything from pristine examples of the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air to the 1964 Chevy Impala SS Lowrider equipped with hydraulics. Lady Lowriders were out with their clean rides, and Classic cars were cruising three wheel motion together in a circle, so that Whittier Blvd was SHUT DOWN, as a Cadillac Lowrider was hopping! Custom lowrider paint jobs were on display and there were lowrider cars hopping and classic cars cruising! Lowriders cruising 3 wheel motion took over Whittier Blvd by doing circles around the crowd on 3 wheels. A Lowrider Model posed with fans and did a pose in the back of a 1961 Chevy Impala Lowrider, much to the pleasure of the crowd! A lot of cars were hitting switches and lowriders hopping, as Lowrider Cars were Cruising after the 2022 Los Angeles Lowrider Super Show which had just taken place at the Long Beach convention center. Celebrating Chicano Culture with Lowriders and clean Classic Cars cruising Whittier Blvd, in East LA, commonly known as "The mecca of Lowriding". It felt like the boulevard was way more packed than usual, most likely due to the Lowrider Magazine Super Show 2022 being in town, with Lowrider fans, classic car enthusiasts and custom car owners coming from other states and countries to witness the Lowrider Cars and Classic Cars cruising the boulevard! Stay tuned for more footage from this Lowrider Car Show, including more lowriders hopping, and the evening when lowriders shut down the blvd, coming right up on the Skid Society UA-cam Channel!

I grew up with hot rods of every sort... my own personal rides were as follows: ('61 Pontiac Bonneville, '57 Chevy 2-door, 61 Impala 2-door, 56 Ford F-100 pick-up, '72 Harley shovel,, '68 Chevelle 396ci true-SS, and a few others). I've always enjoyed SERIOUS hot rods. That said, these low-rider fellas are putting the same, or in so many cases much better effort into these beautiful rides, and their 'low-rider' aspects, a serious tech undertaking on multiple levels , as I did. That is no easy feat! It takes know-how, and cash... LOTS and lots of cash. Good on you fellas! Keep it up!
I have 5 trucks and two cars, I love the passion anyone has for vehicles, I have lift-kited, snorked jeeps, and a obs short bed that lays frame, and 64 Econoline Gasser wheelie stander, I'm an addict..

I don’t know how a lot of you feel about it but it annoys me when I see people standing in the middle of the damn street taking pictures, videos or just hanging out! Let’s remember something, it’s still a street and cars are moving, maybe not fast but they are moving plus they are hopping and playing with their switches, and you do get distracted with the girls or by the other beautiful cars that are on the blvd and a lot of times you’re not paying attention until something goes wrong! I don’t know if anyone has ever been hit or seen someone get hit by a car on these cruise nights but all I can say is if it starts happening, that’s just giving more firepower to CityHall and to the police department’s cause they will have no problem shutting down all that cruising like they did in the 80’s…..
dude if you've never been to the cruise don't worry about it . everyone is chillen out here .it's a good day for our community every Sunday night .
