      Ioniq Guy, try getting some news on the Hyundai ioniq 2. That's the one that's supposed to be under $25,000. I hope they use NACS and keep the plug on the driver side. I hope the range is 300 miles.

    I LOVE the look of the Ioniq 6. It's the primary reason that I selected it over the 5. It would be a shame to dumb down the design language, but I guess it really is an Applebee's world, isn't it?

      I agree. I bought a 2025 Ioniq 6 last month. I'd thought about waiting for the 2026 to get the bigger battery and manual preconditioning, but I decided not to wait because I really do like the look of the current version. For that matter, if they sacrifice some of the aerodynamics of the design in favor of a more mainstream look, it could be that will counteract the larger battery when it comes to range.

    Good luck with the channel in 2025 from UK 🇬🇧
    Thanks to you and some UK UA-cam reviewers I ordered an Ioniq 5 RWD 84 Ultimate 2025, my first ever EV replacing my 2.2 diesel Santa Fe. My wall charger is being installed tomorrow and the car is being delivered 17th January. Wife took a bit of talking round but once I let her choose the colour (£500 option 😮) she's now looking forward to delivery day as much as me.
    I know US - UK specs and infrastructure differs but your channel has been really helpful in me taking the leap into EV's. Thanks again Corbin & Happy New Year to you and your family 👍

    Like hearing your insights so please keep them coming. One thing to consider is going into detail on what Hyundai and Genesis should do on the service side. Imho first Korean car maker to get close to Lexus service with their lineup of EVs wins and will massively steal share from Tesla and Rivian too. But that remains a serious drawback today.

    Please add a few videos regarding AC charging in the winter and comparing the real input into the battery (using eg car scanner). As deliveries for the Ioniq 5 refresh appear on lots, I am curious as to how the deals will go down. I am seeing some VIN numbers now with an MSRP. Will you start a data gathering request on this channel to see what the folks are seeing. I too am waiting for a 2025, RWD SEL or LTD. I see the car I want as in transit to a dealer near me and would like to pounce on it but have no idea what I should ask for as a discount if any. Thanks!

    • @TheIoniqGuy
      @TheIoniqGuy  6 днів тому +1

      Yeah I’m not really sure what to expect. There really aren’t a ton of 2024s left on lots so they may not want to start alienating potential buyers with markups like we saw back in 2022 when the car first went on sale. I will certainly be avoiding any dealers that add on markups and will not recommend anybody fall for them. I know there are quite a few 2022 owners that paid sometimes up to $10k over MSRP and are now deeply upside down on their loans because of it. Keep me posted on what you’re seeing

    • @Molishious
      @Molishious 2 дні тому

      I’m going to make the prediction that there will not be widespread markup and there won’t be deals on 2025 for a while either. I don’t think the EVs have the kind of draw that they did before as most haven’t held their value well. Personally I’ve also gotten used to the Ioniq 5 having a big discount so even if they don’t do markups it will feel like a price increase. Since I don’t have an urgent need for a new car I’m only going to buy right away if the tax credit survives long enough and they have my car in the color and trim I want with no markup. Otherwise I don’t mind waiting a while and letting the factory build a lot of these and get any kinks out if necessary. I’m very curious to see how Corbin’s Ioniq turns out as he’ll surely be getting one of the earliest builds.

    Everyone who says the EV6 charge port moved to the “correct” side for superchargers needs to include two asterisks: V3 and “even though it won’t get full charge speed from a V3 supercharger.” Good on you for including that V3 caveat!

    • @Snerdles
      @Snerdles 2 дні тому

      Because EVs are too expensive and already rely on government to even be viable. Most of the sales in NA they do have are because of leases or state rebates in the US or fed/price rebates in Canada. At full price they would probably have a quarter of the sales they do now.

    Wishing you a great 2025! Love your channel, I own the new 2024 Kona here in Australia. Got to see the EV5 in person as you are right it is for sale here in Australia and it's not a small car bigger than the new Kona. EV3 hasn't arrived yet but is on it's way and suspect once it does Kia will stop sale of the Niro EV as they have done in Germany for example. I'm curious to see the Hyundai equivalents though of the EV3 & 5. I also like the Ioniq 6 so hope they don't ruin it with their refresh.
    Just to add getting free things to review doesn't mean you're a stooge to the company or sell-out as some may say, look at Tom Moloughney he gets L2 EVSE's to review all the time. It's about your integrity and as long as you are honest and explain the pros and cons of a product just means the manufacturer overlooked something and may need to look at a refresh when the time comes particularly if you're not the only one mentioning it. If you get free things to review just maintain your integrity and be honest that is something that is key. :)

    • @MartysRandomStuff
      @MartysRandomStuff 2 дні тому

    Good luck and this frustrates me from the UK, you see all those great Kia ones you won't be getting because of protectionism. So whether ICE or EV you guys just end up with a limited range and the US makers produce, LBH, substandard compared to everyone else.

    Congrats. Good decision to remain independent. I dislike the sponsored creators. Can’t trust their reviews.

    There are more than 40 chemicals listed for cancer present in engine exhaust. These include benzene, arsenic, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, 1,3-butadiene, lead, and numerous polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.not caught by converters .. .. .With non-smokers and smokers, Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer death in the United States for both men and women. More men die of lung cancer more than the next two most deadly types of cancer for men (prostate and colorectal) combined !

    Congrats on your decision! Wishing you the best.
    I think the Ioniq 6 is not doing well because, in my opinion, it's a very unattractive and impractical car. Hopefully Hyundai will start with a fresh sheet of paper and come up with something more compelling.

    Everyone who says the EV6 charge port moved to the “correct” side for superchargers needs to include two asterisks: V3 and “even though it won’t get full charge speed from a V3 supercharger.” Good on you for including that V3 caveat!
