Charmaine, I’m so glad that you joined in this year! We started our FP journeys around the same time and it’s been fun to see how your journey has evolved from year 1 to year 2. I also love the muted colors (sailor 273 and 373 are gorgeous!), thanks for sharing!

This makes me want to try a kaweko FP! I just got a pilot decimo as an early Mother’s Day gift. I haven’t inked it yet since I don’t want to rush the process.
Loved hearing your responses! We share the same love for F and EF nibs. 🥰 I feel similarly about BPC inks. There’s one person who sells their inks in Canada since we can’t buy direct from BPC and I’ve filled my cart so many times, but am hesitant to check out. I love their inks from the samples I’ve tried, though! I’m really hoping to try some Lennon Tool Bar’s ink as well. I’m really drawn to their brown inks!

You look so beautiful! I got bangs also, and that's the bangs I wanted but not what I got. I love vlogs.
I have a couple Aurora 88's and the EF nib is probably wider than anything you have. 😂 So I'd def go with EF if you try one. I love mine though!
Like you, I didn’t want to buy whole bottles of Birmingham inks so I split an order with a friend and we each have half a bottle of the colors we wanted to try.
Aurora and scribo are Italian pens, and are probably close to European (German) nibs. Twbsi ef, kaweco ef are comparable. KenchanKrafts speaks very highly of the 18k gold nib on his aurora 88 volterra, and they are just beautiful. The best thing is to try them at a pen show xx also the feel of the aurora volterra in your hand is so lovely ( from personal experience) it has a life to it, it's so smooth and for me, fits perfectly in my hand. It's also not a big pen, compared to some of the larger pens like visconti...
Also, if your really want the aurora, get an ef and take it to a pen show to get it ground by a nib meister to an ultra extra fine or a needlepoint... Also you could consider trying different nib grinds, like a cursive italic, cursive smooth italic, architect... But on a fine or extra fine nib, that way you get a fine nib but also can experience different nib grinds.. And try the custom nib grinds at pen shows if you get the chance x
Do you have a link to your grail pen? I am looking into a pilot vanishing point. I was wondering if I should get a decimo pilot. They say it is better for smaller hands.

Aurora is an Italian pen so it would be a western nib not Japanese. And may not be as fine as you like.
