Harlan- in addition to the calcium supplement from zuchini folks should know the lower the ph (or higher the acidity) the quicker the snail's shells will degrade.
@GuppyDundee the same thing can be said about human beings and I assume they are going to keep it up 🤔 , because most people are capable of doing whatever they want and in some cases can get a bunch of money from the other people who are not necessarily interested in the Gold Coast !!! Good video is the most important thing I have to say and hopefully Harlan can get lucky and productive for the hobby. 💚💙
@@GuppyDundee I keep them, they are in most of my tanks as they are fantastic algae eaters and I enjoy watching them. And no I do not breed tilapia... I am well aware of the drain in fact there are multiple other drains in the same condition. I am hugely against releasing unwanted species back into the local waterways and have made videos about this problem before.
I got a mystery snail last month from a pet store because I had one before but it was smaller and got on its back and I didn’t find it in time :( so I was going to get a different kind but then I saw basically full grown mystery snails and I had to try again. This one has been doing great in my tank but I just noticed there were tiny weird spots on the glass the other day but when I looked tonight I just realized they’re snails I have no idea if they’re mystery snail babies or some other type that got into my tank through plants. On a side note your experiment was really cool and that was sooo many mystery snails haha
I bought 2 mystery snails from a local fish and plant shop, and they just happened to be male (yellow) and female (light blue). With everything I have in the tank, I've just let them breed, and the eggs hatch without interference. I've got a small hand full of babies of different sizes growing up. If you check my channel, I put up a video of my 20 gallon tank.
@@HarlanFord Thanks man Also sorry if i'm being a pest but I am also curious as to where you buy you L046 Zebra plecos because I am interested in getting some in the near future but would like some advice from someone that has gotten some since there have been a lot of scams for them around lately
@@Andyroo-sy8rd yes definitely 👍 I have also been a victim of the scams so am very particular about sourcing. Advice would be to always buy in-person where possible. Otherwise there is a guy I trust in VIC I believe it’s called pet and aquarium wharehouse Maidstone

Love from India 🇮🇳 Harlan ❤
Hey Harlan!
this question isn't really related to the video but I was just wondering what size tank you use to breed your Bristlenose?
Heyy! No worries, I use a 2ft tank, bigger wouldn’t hurt. I have a video on it if you want to check it out.
