For real. And not enough people listen to this band! They're amazing and way too underrated in my opinion. Their debut was out of this world and for such a young group of musicians to make such complex and highly accomplished music is something to celebrate.
It is quite selfish of me, but you can't say you get overjoyed when everyone suddenly starts singing along to songs you've known long before it hit the radio.
I have to say that I agree with intriguing22 and based on how many thumbs up their two comments have, as opposed to verstellemi's, others agree as well. Whoever disagrees is probably one of those people who sits in front of the television, channel tuned to MTV, waiting for whatever MTV tells them is the acceptable and 'cool' to listen to at the moment. I bought this CD on a whim last year. I knew none of the tracks off of it, but as it turns out, I love it all. Long live Apollo Sunshine

Found this album in a thrift store. The cover enticed me to buy it. And when I looked inside it, I thought it'd be some sort of weird orchestra (judging from all instruments/ musicians. that were said to be in the credits) instead of this. I think it's an amazing album. Kind of reminds me of the Flaming Lips :D Best two dollars I spent in a WHIIIILLLEE.
No. No one listens to this music because they have to think about it. The music all over the radio is "simple". Keep the simple minds happy then profit off of them buying that simple music. Put things out there they have to think about, and they won't like it because thinking these days is too much work. People listen to this because they want to be challenged intellectually, not for simple noise.
Really, dude? Do you know any working musicians? They need to eat too. It's rough to have to work while you're making music on that level. It takes a lot of time. I'm sure they'd be really psyched if 10,000 more people bought their album and they could quit their jobs.
I think it's best nobody has heard of them. They'd probably end up getting a song on mainstream radio and the true fans would be drowned in fake idiots.
