As a trans leftist myself, I think you kinda missed the point of the last leg of the album. They are leftist themselves and aren't calling them all out, but the kind who just like to act politically correct, but condemn people who actually take action.
"I'm so bored by the left, protests, and reluctance to militarize" is referring to leftist who want change against the current system, but aren't actually willing to fight for it. Change cannot happen without people fighting for it. History proves that. And we need change now more than ever.

In short, it's a call for revolution, so as punk as it gets.

@@naturequeen2597 I see tha and I get your points, the problem i see is with the word militarise as that has a different connotation as in national militarisation which is concerning as they are an American band and America spends a trillion dollars a year on military. Better spent on soooo many other issues so no wonder there is a reluctance to militarize in American leftists there already the biggest military.

@@barchel I see what you mean, in this case, it's about taking the revolution to the next step and militerizing the people to fight against the government is more or less what I get from it. I personally agree with the sentiment, but that's just me.

Militarism doesn't have to be nationalistic. Sometimes it's needed for there to be change.

you being affected by the last leg of the album because you a white liberal/leftist just proves the writer's point. LOL!
you tried to center yourself on a black perspective. disappointed by your critic because it went from objective to highly subjective. You stopped talking about the song structures and got stuck on the lyrics. It is a shame tbh

That why I was so tentative about it, I understand where it is coming from, and I understand that I will never be able to put myself in the same position inherently. I try to keep my opinions unbiased but I was still very impressed by the musicality, although I am also affected by lyrics. As a political band it's still important that those messages are mentioned even if I disagree with parts of the messaging. I know I was proving some of the points and I didn't put my thoughts as eloquently as I could've in the video. It's difficult to have an objective opinion on a subjective medium. I try to promote equality as much as possible and am very strongly opinionated about increasing equality for oppressed groups, but do what you will with that information. It's a difficult topic when I predominantly agree with most of the political takes, even when I am quite a leftist. Thanks for not just acting aggressively and being civil. I think its important to have mature conversations about such important topics.
