yes amazing 100s millions these around the world above citys people wont frow stuff out the windows computers that drive them wont fail people who fly them wont have hart attacks no parachutes fitted to them no need to worry when sleeping in home 1 dousnt brake down 500 feet above your home an come crashing down.ACTUALLY NOT AMAZING KEEP VEHICLES ON THE ROAD AIR ISNT FOR MASSES OF PEOPLE WE DO QUITE WELL WITH CARS ON ROADS.
an PARACHUTES why the hel do none these things have parachutes fitted that have mechanical mechanism to bring it down safely not an electronic parachute/ mechanicl so reliable.these could easily have parachutes an alarms that sound if brake an com down warning the public below. PLANES CAN GLIDE TO EARTH IF FAILS A HELICOPTER CAN AUTO ROTATE TO EARTH SAFELY BUT THESE THINGS CANT DO ANYTHING THEY JUST FALL TO EARTH SO MECHANICAL GRAVITY PARACHUTE DEVICE BUILT ABOVE THEM IS ESSENTIAL AN SEALED WINDOWS ON THEM IF FOR THE MASSES BUT NOT TO SEALED INCASE YOU CRASH IN WATER AN NEED TO KICK IT THROUGH TO ESCAPE IT.IN CITYS THEES PROBABLY HAVE ADVANCED GPS UNHACKABLE FOOLPROOF COMPUTER PROGRAMS INSTRUCTING THEM TO FLY ABOVE PEOPLES GARDENS ABOUT 50 FEET WITH OBJECT DETECTION SENSORS AS THE HIGHER THEY ARE THE MORE DAMAGE DO IF HIT A HOME AS THAT ONLY SAFE PLACE TO TRAVEL A CITY I CAN THINK OF FOR THESE THINGS IF THERE THE FUTURE AN GOING TO BE 10S THOUSANDS IN EACH CITY AS MOST PEOPLE NOT IN THER GARDENS SO IF CRASH MOST PROBABLY NOT HURT CIVILIANS.
yes these are amazing id love to have 1 with PARACHUTE BUILT IN AN SEALED WINDOWS AN DOORS:).
and 1 more thing these are a terrorists dreem:(.people makingthese dont give a shitt about civilains on the ground safety these have no rotors above them so can atleast have parachute fitted incase fail.

The first one is interesting. I'm pretty sure that because of its limited size, that drone will never have a really long range, and because of its propellers and the danger it poses, it won't be allowed to land everywhere, but honestly, it could be a good air taxi and a viable alternative to taxi cabs for large cities.

Not everyone will be flying. Just like there's millions of people who don't drive, there will be many if not most who won't fly. Assuming this mode of transport will get off the ground (excuse the pun) without major problems or legal restrictions (doubtful), some will be flying and some will use traditional modes of transport. Ideally, this will lessen the load on land-based transportation networks at the expense of increased cluttering of our skies. To address the point of your comment, there has always been social stratification where it concerns transportation. At first, only the financially endowed will use these manned 'drones'. I don't see them as being cheap, likely the cost of a supercar. I'd hate to know what the insurance would be.

What the fuck are you on about. Oil is still quite abundant and more easily sustainable with high energy countries. Electric power carried via battery is not very practical. Lithium Ion is much more finite and more harmful to mine than oil. Until we have an alternative storage source large demand devices that have the opportunity to run on an ice platform but don't are just wasting resources. Not to mention recycling of spent Lithium iOn batteries is environmentally harmful. Solar Energy is not very efficient. You can't just set it up anywhere, you need areas with high sunlight and a lot of land. Most of that type of land could be used for farming which is in high demand. To run it off mountains isn't good because besides the complexity of the mounting platforms you can't get full degree of radius turns to optimize sunlight energy input. Yes solar panels (especially solar farms) are typically on servos that turn the angle of the panels. Wind Turbines, Damns, and Nuclear also run into their respective problems. However Nuclear energy is the most promising out of them all. I know an engineer and have seen statistics of power from many different sources. We have a blend of many for a reason. The internal combustion engine is best at what it does for the time being.

Can't wait for these to be available. However #1 on the list is DOA. It is looks like what you would think of 40 years ago. Not V.T.O.L. and not S.E.X.Y.

There has to be a hybrid car/copter that can maneuver on ground. That will be the future. Something that can take off quickly like a drone, but can also drive. The biggest issue will be how and where are these things going to land. Once that is addressed we will be up and away.

If there is a passenger inside, it's not a dron from the definition.

SamsonMotorworks.com is in final prototype construction and testing for their "SwitchBlade" Flying Vehicle... It is a 'pusher' propeller with fold away wings and extending tail section...using a Motus V4 engine or Suzuki Hayabusa I-4 engine. It has a Drive-shift to switch between propeller drive (for flight) and rear axle drive (for ground )with a pilot seat and one passenger seat beside the pilot, and some storage space behind the seats.

    最失敗的就是那些外置的風扇。旋轉的時候像一把利刀,很容易受傷,很容易傷到人。設計者沒考慮這個問題嗎?

The one problem with flying cars is that in almost all situations when you design something to do more than one thing it ends up not doing any of them very well. Not necessarily a comforting thought at 5,000 feet.

they should just make it like a helicopter so it can autorotate in case of loss of power. this thing is crazy dangerous.

We still need faster train's as well and I don't think everyone is going to want to ride these right away it's cool wild but I think trust in getting people in them to make big money will take time.

A model which can look like a flying soccer is better & safe idea because thousands of these can fly in the sky with minimum risk of accidents.
