I want to see every one of them flying and landing safely with an engine failure. Looks like most of them have no chance.
The legality of these machines is doing more to keep them on the ground than the ability of its technology.
Can't trust drivers in 2D, no way in hell we want them in 3D to fall into houses.
I think also this. I am angry for this, not for the technik/ construction, as soon the people not can fly exactly.

I said back in the early 2000's battery design will hold us back and someone from Energizer bit my head off in complete denial. It's still true now. We badly need a new power storage design.

Great technoligy. I would go for the Black fly. It looks cool and sounds smooth. Broadly priced. No pilot license recuired, if they can aprove the battery load cappacity I see a great Market potentiol ahead. Wel done Black fly.💪

Im pretty sure you would need a license of some kind. maybe not a pilot's license, but you want to be qualified to survive should things go left

The Moller Skycar is my favorite, the design is beautiful like a Ferrari. I first learned about his vehicles 20 years ago.
In the 1950's we were told that flying cars would be commonplace by the 21st century. Nope. Watching this video was like going to a car show and seeing the concept cars-the cars that will never be.
drone is the most practical way to fly for personal transport today, i wonder what will be practical way in future?

Still nothing beats a gyroplane for safety in recreational flying. The Hawk 4 is/was amazing 5 passenger gyro. If the engine goes out in a gyro you really don't care since you can still land it safely. A gyro an handle crosswinds much better than a fixed wing and you don't worry about stall. People with these technologies (in video) barking up the wrong tree. Powered props not the way to stay airborne when you factor in everything. These oversized drones have wow factor but not practical.
Maybe we can have home affordable solar shingles for the working class soon.

The TF-2 it’s very promising, eliminate the cabin and the drivers position on the truck platform and just keep a simple four wheel truck platform and drive while landing on the truck platform all while staying in the original cockpit of the flying vehicle or helicopter simply land on the truck platform/skateboard platform and then drive off to your destination only to takeoff and fly again. They are by eliminating any cabin on the truck or skateboard platform and do it by connecting snapping into place with the helicopter flying vehicle.
Even if a real flying car could exist, it wouldn’t be like Back to the Future where you just drive and fly any time anywhere..residential, downtown, city etc. the death rate and destruction would be insanely high and the training would be more extensive than becoming a real pilot. The one possibility are cars that hover 1-2 feet off the ground. This would save millions in road construction, less animal road kill, maybe less accidents with ability to tilt upward on slow speed fender benders. But then you would put a ton of companies out of business
If toy drones exist for 30$ to make it fly whenever you want then what is the difference between the toy drones or big drones ?
I believe flying cars will be more than the cars we have now and will be computerized.
The blackfly is awesome, no piolets license but is any type of training or certification needed?

JetPack Speeder experimental version seems like the best mentioned in this list. Simplicity and practicality are the key, assuming it wld be capable of doing more than 200 km range per filing/ charge. Over 240km at altitude of 4600 meters $380k should be much worthy for the specs compared to the italian and Dubai police dept flying bike mentioned in this list.

I find it hard to picture a busy sky with people flying around on these types of aircraft, I'll stay on the ground for now.
When we talk about the future, we forget the past. In 1900, the "self-moving sidewalk" was shown at the World Exhibition in Paris. But, due to the complexity of the design, it was dismantled. I sure hope flying cars will eliminate road rage. The part that bothers me is how many people are unable to drive land based vehicles safely what happens when you put a projectile on the air at a couple thousand feet. What goes up must come down.
I hear you. It appears that many of these flying machines intended for transportation are heavily computerized and hopefully there will be a standard language being spoken by flying cars so that they all know where each other are and will be able to keep from colliding with one another.

My Dream Car Flies , engine run on water powered generator instead of heavy batteries . When Flying in the mountains and remote areas to fuel up on water, with a rotoray ( Wankle Engine ) , which is very compact powerful package.
Look up ( G. E. E. T fuel ) A set - up in garage level technology . Turns any licquid into a plasma which can replace gasoline by design of the machine

Maybe for commercial applications using dedicated landing sites but I can't even fly toy drones in public bc of legitimate safety concerns I doubt the full-size version is suddenly going to be safe.
That and solving gravity. Once we have anti gravity technology things are going to get really interesting.

the only way to make the "flying car" practical they would have to be fully autonomous and wirelessly networked. Also as other have said, all it would take to put the kibosh on this future of daily transportation is one of these bad boys falling out of the sky onto a baby carriage.

I saw one of ththose fly rides on white lake in montague , michigan about three weeks ago…it was weird as id never known something like that existed…..! Montague is just a very small town in a rural farming community.

It's a showdown between the TF-X and the Aston Martin (different list)! However, the TerraFugia Transition looks like a win to me.

I would be more worried about people crashing to each other in the air.People drive like retards on ground cars as it is and there are car crashes all the time.

I’m pretty sure we can expect regulations as with anything that is in mass use. 😅 Otherwise they wouldn’t be able to release it. There are people paid to think about situations like these, we aren’t in the 20th century anymore. Safety and environmental efficiency usually has to be accounted for.
Where is your parachute? I know you are adventurous, but where is the 'fail-safe plan' or just 'fail-safer' planned actions? So, the riders/manufacturers had failed to plan is that they planned to fail and the riders would die!
@@mattjackson2799 If everyone was flying there would probably be a lot less crashes in the air than on the ground. There is simply a lot more space up there.
Also by the time flying personal machines become mainstream I'd imagine all of them will be automated flying you from point A to point B on their own.
But yes a collision in the sky would probably mean certain death for all involved.
I remember in the year 2000 Jesse James came out with the 1st flying car and nothing. And either will these!
I can see it now….when these become common place one day people will be hitting powerlines and each other all the time
Secondly the speeder should change his design by tilting the turbine forward towards the front and the back so that the pilot can lay onto the vehicle, in a triangular chassis or body shape with wings and perhaps either a parachute or bouncing ball, Landing emergency besides regular landing gear.

@@lorenchysi3334 It's nothing but computer graphics at this point. All the specs are guesses. No way something that small will be able to travel that far at that speed.
@@CrotalusHH Where have you been? The atom was cracked open about a century ago. Technology has come a long way in a short two centuries. I don't think an electric engine, in this day and age, is incapable of providing such thrust.
