Unplug the cable and remove the wire nut after you remove the three bolts. Once you remove the bolts, you can rotate the alternator forward and have direct access to the wire nut and the plug.

Excellent video....very helpful....especially on how to get the freed alternator out of the car.

It sounds like the exact same issue I’m having with my 2011 cts. It also had the power steering service come up momentarily as well.

Very nice job.and straight to the point. I have a v8 s10 as well mine is a 1987 old school pro street 350 . And instead of the very nice corvette you have. I have a 06 pontiac gto . Kind of cool similar tastes in autos.

I’ve actually met a few people who own an S10 and corvette. Kind of weird!

Great video! However there is no reason to get underneath the vehicle. All topside work

I don’t see how, but if you could do it, that’s awesome!

Un bolt the alternator, then pull it forward to remove the wiring. Reverse to install ;)

@CliffsHowTo There's actually a lot of people that do it That way from what I've seen. I've done it twice now with no problems. It's actually very easy.Just need a ratchet wrench and flat head screw driver. Your video did have some useful pointers In it though so thank you
