funny you bring that up. I saw him live and in the middle of the song, he started singing jessie's girl. He's a really clever and underrated artist. Thank god for portal or I'd have a hard time explaining his songs to people, haha

As someone who took French for 172 years in school, I was impressed that his accent sounded great and he actually made a joke in a foreign language...in a song. That's not easy. Plus I'm a huge JoCo fan.

One of my favourites from the album. When my friend who speaks French translated it for me, I couldn't stop laughing.

All the people correcting his French need to know that it was bad on purpose the character he is playing in the song is supposed to be bad at French

It may not have many views, but I appreciate this video and song. I tried playing Artificial Heart over the sound system at work (we convert tapes/film/photos to CD/DVD and nearly everyone is under 30), and nobody liked it. I guess you have to really LISTEN to get it.

1) You can start singing "Jessie's Girl" at any point in this song and it will fit.
2) "Jessie's Girl" has it's own famous syntactical problems:
'Cos she's watching him with those eyes (Whose eyes are we talking about?)
And she's lovin' him with that body, (Jessie's body?)

Genius. The best use of Rick Springfield since Californication. Next time I go to France, I'm trying this out. And I'm going to say France like it rhymes with pants just how I used to say it. And when I say pants, I don't mean it's lame, I mean clothes you put your legs into.
The music was great but i don't know very much french so the lyrics are a mystery to me except i know je suis means i am.

People are saying that JoCo's French is bad in this song. I can tell that his accent is very heavy. But is his French grammatically incorrect? Or is it just bad pronunciation?
I think some of it was he was trying to rhyme, but the words that would rhyme in english don't in french.
