Faye, I can’t say this enough but I applaud you for speaking about your IVF journey! I remember at the start of you and Steve thinking about trying to conceive where I said the exact same thing and I still can’t imagine how much strength it takes day in day out to not only go through it but to share the details makes us feel like we’re all bonding with each other. Thank you for being so open with us as some may say this is a saving grace to help them through their own journey of IVF and some will find it interesting for sure. Anyway, I hope taking care of yourself and don’t let any knob heads get you down, my friend ♥️♥️

Just want to wish you all the luck Faye. I donated my eggs in my 20s and it’s not the nicest of procedures but totally worth it. I had 18 follicles and 9 eggs. Two couples got 3 eggs each and the other three weren’t good. It worked for one couple so I’m glad I was able to help someone become a family. I however did get ovarian hyper stimulation where I was hospitalised and i remembered last week you mentioned that you were informed that could happen. I’m sending you all the best wishes and pray that this works for you.

@@fayejay i live in a village in south staffordshire.. We are surrounded by lovely walks and an iron age hillfort is a 5 minute walk away from our house.. Lots of walks for our 3 dogs.. But im from liverpool originally so miss being close to the water and not too far from beaches x

Yeah, once u start the treatment, it's like 0 to 100. Wouldn't worry about the egg collection, with the sedation it's not too bad and it doesn't take very long. You usually get toast & tea afterwards so something to look forward to 😆
So are you like fully out of it while it’s happening? Will absolutely take tea and toast 🤣♥️

I can speak about a similar perspective. So I havent gone through fertility things but I did have a health journey getting a Crohn's disease diagnosis. Nothing really happened for quite a while and I spent my days feeling rubbish and sorting out hospital admin. Then all of a sudden it was like right let's get your colonoscopy and MRI done. So I can empathise a bit with the feeling of time and how something that you are so excited to get done (my scope and MRI) suddenly arrives after ages and feels daunting then. But it is possible to get through it. What I'd recommend to everyone with medical stuff (and especially brains like mine that are likely autistic and/or adhd), is to have a variety of routines in place ready to go. Have a few sets of items, activities, places, people ready to help you process and transition between mindsets of 'scared' to 'relieved' so that you can just pick whichever that you fancy on the day. So that you have options but that are already organised. Because at that point, I know that I'll need to process stuff and transition mindsets but won't have the energy to make a plan/routine of how to do so. ❤ Hopefully this makes sense!
