Steve is right there at the top of my list of artists that I want to meet before I go-we're both 1955 babies and musical soulmates. I felt like he was jamming with me on If I Needed You-I knew Loop and Lill were Guy and Susanna's parakeets-Townes says it on a live recording somewhere here in the great world of UA-cam-I love this place
Steve's a very kind human. We went in the ''sign things and talk'' line after a concert. And my son tells him, as I'm standing next to Steve, that "My Dad has driven me all over the Country & he drove me to see you". Steve was sort of like wow. Really? Love his Music, and so does my son.
@@12symon As I have no doubt. Probably the same day that I first saw this thread, I was watching an interview where as he was sitting on a couch about to answer a question the session gets interrupted by a sponsee's phonecall to his AA Sponsor: Steve. He looks at the phone stands up and says "It's a sponsee, I have to take this" and he tells the guy "Look I'm in the middle of something here, I'll you back in a little while OK? Are you alright?" It takes a special type of person to be able to BE a sponsor
I wonder if the guitar he’s talking about that he sold to Chris Stapleton is the one from the tiny desk performance where Chris said somebody must have used it as a canoe paddle
I have known and currently know people that have done a lot of drugs…… it’s easy to make mistakes in life.. it takes a lot of spine to talk about the mistakes that have been made let alone clean up and stay clean……
Steve Earle is a national treasure.
Always glad to hear Steve.
Earl is one Hell of a Writer.
Earle. lol
What a legend!! I don’t agree with his politics but dang he is good!

Who does Steve's Art Work on his cd Covers ???
Tony Fitzpatrick. He's an artist from Chicago. An really nice guy, too. I met him at a Steve show.
That's an SG not a Les Paul-I stand corrected and did not know that Les Paul's at one time were using the SG body type.
You should learn the history of the Les Paul, or at least google "61 Les Paul.

Right
@TheDustyShed you should mind your business, and just enjoy the music. ✌️
@@JimDiBattista that's good, so maybe just focus on the whole "mind your business" part of my statement...
Pretty sure that Gibson Southern Jumbo is earlier than 1957. In 1955 Gibson changed to 20 fret necks and a larger pickguards.
His shirt is inside out...
I bet you couldn’t buy that D-45 for $25,000.00.
So much of Steve Earle s conversation revolves around drugs. Hmmmmmm
Does that hurt your feelings

We ex druggies are just proud we’re not fucking dead. You’re welcome
So he practices capitalism, hmm... OK for he, not OK for thee.
Role model Not !
Grow up.
It ain't his fuckin job to be a role model.
Takes that kinda rough living sometimes to write them songs
