    As a psychologist, there is almost nothing that frustrates me more than when someone says something like "I'm going to be a psychologist for a second" and then proceeds to spread misinformation, half-truths, or pseudo psychology. OR when someone makes positive references toward Dr. Phil. UGH.
    Also, my job pays for my state psychology license renewal AND has paid for my license in a neighboring state. To keep my license I have to attend conferences, webinars, etc., for continuing education credits. I have a yearly continuing education fund that pays for me to go to conferences. My next one in April, they paid for my flights, conference fee, hotel, and daily per diem. This is standard in my profession. They do not know what they are talking about (although I think that is obvious).
    I work in a medical clinic and on an inpatient medical unit. Everywhere I have ever worked as a student, intern, fellow, and attending has always had FREE COFFEE.

      I wanted to jump in and say a related field: Veterinary! I am a student in this field and veterinarians PLUS the veterinarian technicians are required to attend and take university courses throughout their entire profession every couple years (I think in New York it's like every 2-3 years?) to keep themselves updated with the ever-changing veterinarian field in terms of laws and ethics. It's required by law (and often by state as well) to take these courses to keep their licenses valid and also keep them up-to-date with any updated governmental or state law. Failure to do so often results in a revoking of license or something similar. They do get credit for it but I forgot if they're paid for attending these since they often coincide with work: an actual licensed vet can jump in and correct me.

Couple that with the under handed put downs and shaming us for our career paths. We are recruited and given thousands of dollars up front and monetarily compensated for our time, including while on our phones, and accrue vacation time, insurance and benefits, etc. (Wage arguments are a different argument but that is for another day) There is a reason y’all are begging us to sling your low quality products. 29:34 Driving downhill in neutral is THE definition of Penny Wise, Pound Foolish. (Shocker 😯😂) Not only is it VERY dangerous, but the "gas savings" is nominal, AT BEST. (In most cases, there is NO increase in fuel efficiency. And certainly never enough to justify the extreme wear and tear to your transmission). One simple Google search, and this financial genius would have figured that out.

    • @the_emmasculator
      @the_emmasculator 2 роки тому +6

    • @mariusvanc
      @mariusvanc Рік тому

      Driving downhill in neutral doesn't do anything to the transmission, wtf did that idiocy come from. There is zero gas savings from doing so however, it is also (marginally) unsafe, you should always be in gear unless you're stopped for more than a few seconds. If you REALLY want to save some gas, you leave the car in gear, but take your foot off the gas, and let the wheels drive the engine. This way, there is no combustion happening at all, and you get infinity mileage. When you're in neutral, you're essentially idling.

    First off, let me start by saying, I appreciate the anti MLM movement for giving people the facts. As someone who was extremely brainwashed for over 5 years, I wish I had someone who was honest with me as opposed to selling me the business and lifestyle. I adore you Chelsea and so many of the anti MLM creators who, as I said, bring FACTS to the discussion. And you are completely within your right to have a different opinion and share the side that they will not talk about without being a so-called hater. So much manipulation! Second, I’m going to address Miss Colleen lie for lie since she feels the need to talk about something she has no idea about. We are NOT the same Colleen, and to think that you should be characterized the same as a nurse or a teacher is DISGUSTING!!!!
    • So, no we do not get pain nothing…. are we underpaid, yes many are but we are certainly not paid nothing!
    • Also, to get a degree as a nurse it does not cost $100,000 and I paid off my debt. Now to get my master’s as a nurse practitioner, yes, I did pay close to that, BUT I am GUARANTEED the money to pay it back. Also, the amount of money I’m making will allow me to pay off the loan. Do I think it is ridiculous and we should be in so much debt, of course not but that is in no way a comparison to network marketing.
    • I’m sure there are nurses who have second jobs but I don’t and no-one I know does. The medical field is in desperate need of people so that is not common.
    • I’ve paid less in scrubs (and I’m talking Figs) than what I had to pay in my MLM for products. You can say it was my choice but leaders like these two say quite frequently, “you have to be a product of the product”.
    • Yes, I like my coffee and yes some of us drink a lot more than others but we do not live on “uppers” legal or otherwise. How much money do we spend on coffee Jesse?? Seriously, you are reaching girl!
    • Yes, I also bought my stethoscope. Not all stethoscopes are $100. My first one was $20 off amazon and it worked great. When you start making more money, yes, you can invest in a better quality one. COLLEEN???!!!!! NOT RELATIVE!!!!!
    • Licensing renewal for a nurse practitioner doesn’t even cost $600. WHAT the actual F are you talking about!! My license renewal, insurance, clothes, and continuing education credits do not even come close to what I paid for conference, the MLM gear, monthly products, and every other thing they “encourage” (because they basically tell you you’re not working your business if you don’t) you to buy in network marketing.
    This is where getting your facts before you speak on something you know nothing about can save you from looking like a complete jack ass. The condescending attitudes and the idea that your MLM scam is ANYTHING compared to the hardworking people who save lives every day and keep our kids safe and educated have any correlation just shows how brainwashed and gross you are! I am proud to be a nurse and I will never condone the person I became when I was in an MLM. You ladies have no argument hear with teachers or nurses except for the fact that more money should be spent on both careers. This was one of the most disgusting pieces of internet garbage. Both of you should be ashamed.

    When I buy stuff for my little students with my own money, I get to see them use what I bought. Win/win. If you're forced to purchase monthly products from your MLM that you don't need, only your upline benefits. Should I have to buy school supplies? No, but I'm lucky to be in a district that adequately compensates us. Teachers in low-paying districts are better off doing Uber Eats gigs or the like, rather than joining an MLM.

It makes me want to scream! Most predators were victims at one point. For example, a Large amount of child predators were victimized when they were a child themselves. And its tragic they were a victim, but it doesn't absolve them of their own crimes! And so yes... it does make logical sense and is seen across many different social situations

    I used to work in a tasting room at a winery. The moment I signed my employment papers they gave me two shirts with the company's name on it (not a required uniform but at that point jeans and a nice tee were what we all wore most day shifts) and a four pack of their best selling wine so I could start trying them out for myself.
    All my training was paid at a normal, above minimum wage rate. We were invited to come in for free tastings throughout the week to familiarize ourselves with the wines AND when we released a new blend or vintage? We'd get a bottle to take home, and sat down with a 2 oz tasting glass with the owners to talk about the details of that new release.

    I love watching videos for on MLM and Commercial Cult mentality while working on my actual small business. I make crochet stuffed animals and toys, jewelry, charms, etc because I have a passion for it. I still work a part time job and money is still tight sometimes. That just comes with the market. People like Jessie Lee like to, for lack of a better term, fetishize the concept of owning a business and co-opt it to suit her needs. Yes, being a business owner is hard work and comes with a lot of responsibilities. But if she really wanted to "work for herself", she would be the boss. Not the CEO of ItWorks. Every cent I pour into my businesses will, hopefully, come back to me. It won't go up to an upline. That is the difference between owning a business and shilling a product. My money is at least still mine. Thank you for another amazing video CC. I now need to rewatch the Jessie documentary for the fifth time XD

    I'm not a nurse but I'm an occupational therapist who has to pay for her professional license - we don't LOVE paying registration fees, but paying gets you as part of the college and they provide a lot of things that support your profession and it ensures that your clients are protected. We also pay for courses and professional development to become better therapists and connect with other therapists etc. It's wild to me that they don't understand that because they also pay yearly registrations to be part of a company but they aren't guaranteed pay and when they pay for conventions and stuff they just tell them the same information over and over...

    Interesting how when they try and “debunk” anti-MLM stuff they say, “well success is different to everyone, and it doesn’t matter if not everyone can reach the top because most people just want a extra couple hundred dollars a month”. But they don’t say or think that in the actual MLM, they pressure their downline to aim for the top and be a millionaire because it makes the upline’s more MONEY. They are pretending to be understanding and that they don’t pressure people to aim for the top or be “successful” in this video but its a different story in real life. The narrative is constantly changing with these people.

    She’s telling on herself. Yes, if she was really in the terrible situation that she says she was when she joined, then she was victimized by the business. “Success” in MLMs is built off the backs of the people you recruit who are going to lose money. So, claiming she had any measure of “success” in an MLM thereby means she also preyed on people in vulnerable situations. Even if she had only recruited one person, she victimized that person.
