Update!! After everyone’s results were revised, my core maths grade was upgraded to an E!! 😂🥳 still not great but I don’t care because I’m just happy to have passed haha. My other 3 grades stayed the same :))
Good luck 😊 but whatever happens grades don’t define you, I got Cs ,Ds and an E in my GCSEs and Didn’t get a place in sixthform so I went to college instead and spent 4 years at college doing different courses and trying to pass my English language GCSE and I finally passed it and now I’m going into my 2nd year of university
@@livsephton9 wow you are inspirational, thank you so much, you have made me feel so much better! Luckily we are getting our predicted grades now so hopefully i will do better than i think!!

i think this is sort of the equivalent to SATs because they get u into uni there but it's not the same. Our systems work completely differently because for us we have GCSEs at the ages 15-16 (10th grade). Then we use those results and chose 3-4 subjects for a level and take finals for those which get you into uni. Kinda complicated haha. I'm 15 so next year I start my GCSEs which get me into the 3-4 subjects i want to do for my A levels which is what this girl has already done. Sorry if this isn't 100% accurate but my mum and my best friend are american so I'm kind of going off of what they told me :)
@@isabellaaslam9372 i heard that a levels is equivalent to AP classes (in terms of complexity) and only compares to the SATs/ACTs in that the final results get u into uni xx
I got messed up by the system as well! I got downgraded both my A* to an A (vid on my channel) which meant I almost missed out on going to Cambridge!! Honestly thank god that they have now changed the way grades are assessed. So hopefully all you guys get the grades you need! But by far its been the most unfair situation I've gone through so far. Subbed for the journey ahead :)
Congratulations! Got my A-level results too and I'm happy with mine too.I did Spanish too and got a C. I find it so unfair that people were downgraded by 2/3 grades. Good Luck GCSE students next week

Congrats 🎉 hey guys does any1 know what they mean when they say 40% got lower grades does it mean lower from the teachers assessment grade or your mocks
@@moviefan1646 I can't speak for the whole of the A-Level cohort, however teachers were asked to estimate where your grade would be had you taken the exam. So at my school they'd estimate I'd go up 2 sub-grades from my mocks. These grades are then sent off to the exam boards to get moderated. This takes into account your school's history in the qualifications in previous years, your SATS/GCSE grades and whether you have protected status (pupil premium etc). So some people will have got higher grades but the 40% will have unfortunately got their mock grade or lower so most are trying to appeal their grade to get it raised to the mock grade. This causes issues with universities though because in some cases a student's place wouldn't have been held for their uni if they're awaiting their appealed grade so are forced to take a gap year, take the exam in autumn or go through clearing and potentially not get the course they wanted to do. I hope this answers your question :)
its so much easier to go uni this year I didnt want to go till i got my results yesterday and now ive got 4 offers from unis that i would wanna go to i feel like many people are taking a gap year.
Hello, I am a high school senior student. I have my SAT in 2 months, my APs in 4 months, CLEP in 5 months, board exams in 4 months and one subject test in 4 months.
