All you need to do to sink a CV is have your CV spot it and have your BBs pop spotter plane to nuke them from the opposite end of the UNIVERSE. Subs though, ya kinda need to gang up on them or they will just kill you, which is KINDA how it worked in real life except the sub was hiding like a mouse from a very angry cat.
WG (next update): "In order to increase the survivability of submarines, we will be reducing the blast radius of all ship launched depth charges by 25% for cruisers and 50% for destroyers. This change will make playing submarines a more comfortable experience."
Subs, man... At least you feel somewhat accomplished after crushing a CV, but every single fight against subs so far was a pain in the ass, it felt clunky and out of place. As out of place as your ship will be after being done with the sub. Truly what the game needs to attract new players.

If CV is sooooooo confident that players like CV and Subs they should prove it. Move CVs and subs into their own wartype, keep them out of Randoms/Rankeds. The new wartype will still finish all missions as if it was a Random/Ranked. I don't even care if those wartypes give double credit for everything, double the xp, commander, credits, mission credit etc. The wartype will be called "Random battle for idiots and wimps."
You have to get the cancer out early so it doesn't spread and become aggressive. Also name the class that can nose into an island, launch their weapons into said island, and still do damage with that weapon.
I once had a game in Asashio with only 1 CV and 1 BB on each team. I hunted down both of the two enemy subs from full health but had 0 damage from my gun or torps. I still ended up 2nd place with experience.
About the Economy rework feels a lot better that the old one, before you just "waste" a lot of exp on T10 ships just to "farm" captain and free exp, now you can just farm those and save the "normal" exp bonuses for tech ships although just at 1/3-1/4 rate from old system.
TBH I love running down subs and depth charging them, but yes it has become a dedicated role if you dont want them doing their job. Sadly, for an arcade game its one of the more realistic things. It requires multiple ships and or aircraft to hunt a submarine effectively.

I would think that it would be simple enough to use the 2nd tier economy bonuses to see if it has improved, since that will likely be the ones you use. 1st tier economy bonuses are a thing too, but they will likely be used as fodder, if anything.
So far, the economy rework feels like a scam. Not sure if you get anymore reduced service cost, and if you owned more than one perma camo for your ship, you lose out on the seperate bonuses on the other camo, it doesn't matter since it's the same bonuses, sure, but if you bought separate perma camos on one ship, you only get compensated the bonuses of one of them, and now they're all just cosmetics now.

They actually don't. Shimakaze and Harugumo deal max 4,600 depth charge damage. Gearing tops all the DDs at 5,100, followed by Daring at 5,000. If you're going by raw damage per bomb/charge. Even if you account for Shimakaze and Haru having 16 bombs per charge it comes out to less damage than Daring, because Daring launches the same quantity of bomb charges.
Yeah Depth charges have a HUGE blast radius now, so if they land even remotely next to them, it will at least brake something. But if it lands next to them, THATS GONNA HURT! id know iv been on the receiving end of that in pursute of testing. Edit: note to self, take RPF on dds or cruisers with depth charges. That skill was cool before but now, it might be NESSESARY to hunt down subs.

no, if your ship has perma camo A gives +50% xp and perma camo B gives +20% credits, the economy pack for you will be + 50% xp and +20% credits
