Very helpful video, but when I run simulation for my project I get an error message (21401) saying there are no elevation bands set for subbasin. Does anyone know why this is happening, or more importantly how I can fix it? There doesn't seem to be anywhere in HMS where I can set elevation bands, as far as I know. My basin model is of course linked to a DEM, shouldn't that be enough?
Hi, how would you recommend to discretize the precipitation in liquid versus solid form, in a basin that has a lower zone where it rains and a higher zone where it snows? I have the model georeferenced with a DEM and all the sub basins have been created with the GIS tools. Thanks! I need to put some kind of function so in the areas that are over 2000m it does not rain in liquid form, or at least asign cero precipitation (i just need to analyse a 24 hour event)
Hi Felipe, thanks for your question. In this instance, can we suggest you reach out to the HEC-HMS Users Facebook group found here facebook.com/groups/hmsusers/ to get assistance with answering your question? Good luck!
area to define streams depends on what? on what basis did u enter 70 sqkm for area to define streams? Is it the basin area? If at all we are taking it as a basin area we are facing this error WARNING 46501: Unprojected coordinate systems are not recommended for the basin model. as river basin huge its area is 2,58,948 sqkm
Hi AR V, the accepted hydrological software is RORB however I believe you can use Hec Hms or another software if you wish as long as you can comply with the ARR2019 in relation to ensemble method/Montecarlo etc. for the definition of peak flows/storage volumes and the general required results.
I had also the same problem. apparently, it is not activated. and according to HEC HMS manual and I quote;"There are other menu options on the GIS menu that are inactive in HEC-HMS version 4.3 and will be turned on in a future version of the software. The HEC-HMS team is adding GIS tools to the program to aid in automated delineation from terrain data and parameter estimation from GIS datasets "

Thank you for sharing this detailed video, it's great for working on GeoHECHMS too.
Wonderful webinar and looking forward to HEC-WAT webinar soon. Thank you to all presenters for sharing your knowledge.

Would you please mention, how you opened Gridded Data Import Wizard in 21:37? Thank you
In the control inputs, how & why do you select those dates, times, & intervals? Any references on how a time frame should be selected?
Great webinar! Thank you!
Thanks for watching Paige!
Hi, I am new with this model, may I get the previous tutorials and is the model also applicable for studies in Africa
Very interesting, wish to see more and thank you for all your efforts ...
Great, thanks for sharing!
it's amazing for HEC-HMS4.4Beta
Thank you for this video. very helpful. God bless you and more power to youuu
what version did you use on this video?

You are welcome
I am using Hec-Hms, how to edit or cut bridge in Dem Data using Hec-Hms?

i am using HEC HMS and i would like to make flood frequency analysis methods how i do that please
Hydraulic Modeling and Hydrologic Modeling application of HEC-HMS?
I love you guys!!!!!
Wow! Amazing HEC-HMS modeling.
Thank you for the nice video
on HEC HMS 4.11, there is no Grid Region Manager. Why is that?
I downloaded HEC HMS 4.4 But, terrain processing is not working. Is there any way to get HEC HMS 4.4 Beta ?
HMS 4.4 is out now and it has the capabilities as described in the video. See that the raster is projected before importing it into the software.
What is the predecessor of HEC 3
Is it possible use HEC HMS in Australia? How can we use it with ARR2016?

What can I do to solve this problem?could not delineate elenents because the break points did not intersectthe stream network in hec hms 4.7 beta???
is it intentional, every DEMO i have watched blurs the screen
If Im using scs cn how can I find the impervious %
You can use EPA SWMM manual to get rough value range for percentage impervious
Question is Why my Terrain Data Manager is closed? I cant enter my terrain. It's grey so ı cant select it under the "components"
Same here. I can't find the solution.

@@Marwan_M_A_Ali The Hec Ras is 4.4 Beta it’s not available yet in the HEC web it’s only for investigators
