If cost cutting was important in the VX version, then they could have just removed the sunroof, and retained the rear seat armrest and the bigger touchscreen with 360 degree camera. Cause I seriously wonder how many people actually use this gimmick called as a sunroof which is absolutely useless in our country.....
Agreed, given elevate is positioned as simple and elegant hence removing sunroof and giving armrest would have made more sense

I see most of the users commenting feature distribution is disturbed and high end features like panoramic sunroof missing😂.
Honda mean while with 100 of its marketing experts have decided this so they must have done some study.
The fact is to promote V varient which will be at least 13.5 to 14 lakhs on road depending upon city.
On comparing this with its rival creta, Seltos, Grand vitara. No one is providing u these features which honda is providing at this price point.

Difficult road ahead for Honda cars in India as they brought a car which has so many features missing. 2 airbags in VX trim, no hand rest at back seat, no cruise control. Forget about panaromic sunroof and other high end features. Plus people are talking about price starts from 11 lacs ex showroom. When you have competition like Creta, seltos, grand vitara
either the top or base will be the best selling like Creta
Feature feature feature. Indians are so obsessed with this. The drivability, engine, reliability, ground clearance etc. are good right. They will sell it in the numbers they desire. They know they can't compete with the Koreans who fool us by making the interiors look premium and give lots of features so we feel we are sitting in a better vfm car.
P.S. I don't own an elevate, just giving my opinion

What is that weird joints of fender when the Bonnet is opened, i have seen this on some cars.
I personally thinks that its a cost cutting and looks very cheap insted of having full metal cover honda attached some strips of metal to intact engine area and fender part.
If anyone has good info on that, kindly put some light on it, will.be extremely helpful as i am planning to buy a mid sized crossover

Dear Iam driving Honda citi for last 9 years...developed knee pains because of the following.
#Very low ground clearance
#Very low seat height
#You hv to bend a lot to get into the car and get out.
This resulted in KNEE PAINS..It gives a feeling of a disabled beggar begging on four wheel cart on road with zero road clearance.
.wonder if they hv made vehicles for school boys

VX-CVT itself does not have, so V-CVT will not have it for sure

All 3 duel tone colors and Obsidian Blue Pearl are looking good. For me Phoenix Orange Pearl with Crystal Black Pearl Roof is best.
Golden brown looks best in sunlight. White looks great in artificial lights.

Everyone just wanted to check how much cruise control is important. In city drive its not useful at all. How many of us go out of town. CC is useful only on highways, and is used by mostly by car enthusiasts
Cruise control is not worth it in our country. Not even on highways when you will have to break eventually. Car enthusiasts on the contrary do not use cruise control.
See I am having city V 2016 model, it is having cruise, and I my driving is always cruise beyond 40 speed, Koreans are giving unwanted features just because to sell their brand, our Honda people donot know Indians’ mentality
By this logic, If you are driving in city traffic, why do you even need this big a car, just buy a hatch back. No?
I regularly take my Honda City V MT on highway and use cruise control. Of course I understand that cruise control is not as important as Airbags but they have skimped on 2 of them while moving from Honda city to Elevate. Not to mention absense of Defogger and Back Armrest. Where should the cost cutting stop?
Cost cutting is a delecate process and cutting too much will make a product look cheap and undesirable. It might be digestible to some and others will show the power of wallet by buying something else. It is what it is.
@@hiteshwarmehla2267If you are driving in the city then you would prefer a SUV because of the ground clearance. My point was to say that the functionality of cruise control is extremely limited and shouldn’t be an important factor while buying a car. With the elevate, they had the opportunity of doing something good but the overall package being offered doesn’t seem worth it at all.
I have 2018 City Facelift. Never used cruise control, I use adaptive Cruise control in my Camry though. Cruise control is useful only with adaptive. ZX variant has ADAS that’s why they integrated with that variant.

xuv700 base option is better in ride quality, power output, space, presence etc for 17 lakh on road
elevate has a tough oponent if honda doesnt make a competent pricing
Honda has some choices to explain.
1. Having a proper 4 seater without back armrest is poor thinking.
2. Removing defogger is a sad thing to do.
Edit: Defogger is absent in V model, not VX.
Earlier Honda cars base models(mid model also) sold well because they were well kitted and not missing must haves. This one has deal breakers all around in lower models. Heck, even top model looks like a mid model of every other car manufacturer. Already late and missing the bling and dropping must have from lower models.
This can very well tank as a product.
Honda city is a better variant to variant product no doubt. They ideally should have Elevate eat the sales of City but this toothless thing would barely dent anything.
Defogger is clearly visible in the VX variant.

Very well said my friend. I am glad i am not the only one who thought that the top model indeed looks like the mid model of other car manufacturers. Having said that, due to the fact that we are used to the companies putting so many features in cars that we feel its a miss in other cars when not available. Although, for the top end model price point, buyers will go to city than elevate I think. Otherwise there are more options apart from Honda of course. They are very late to the market and now have still missed the mark to be a late entrant.

honda is playing cheap while already going in losses, it should have given emphasis on safety, too much distinguishing factors between the variants here, competitors are going to crush this model in their new launches
As per the last reports, Honda India has posted 1400 Cr in profits (All thanks to restructuring and making workforce more lean) but yeah, this product has cut too many corners. It is disappointing.

I am of the view that the Variant distribution is all messed up. For the very first time in the history of HONDA, they have offered V variant without Alloy Wheels. This seems to be the biggest mistake by Honda. A car which will cost 16-16.5 lakhs on road (depending upon state) & it will not have alloys from Honda.
Majority of the people/ perspective buyers are disappointed with the price and the variant distribution.
Pricing is in line with the competition! Honda being a new entrant was expected to have priced it quite lesser than the established cars in Indian Market.
Creta sells for more than 10k units per month. Elevate may sell for not more than 2k units per month with this pricing.
Ye sirf brezza se compete kar sakti hai.. ADAS agar sare varient mei deti tho seltos creta ko takkar de skati thi.. such a dissapointment
this is not a sub 4m car, Brezza is 4m. Boot space is larger and internal space also. No car offers ADAS in all variants. Yes, it is a disappointment overall
