Okay Kyle, I get you want to push content out super fast, but I think you would have been fine to film footage for the points you want to cover and just some b-roll, then wait for your voice to comeback around, do a sitdown chat video dropping in footage as you hit various points. Yes, it would take more time, but it would probably have better shelf life and more appeal. For me, I was distracted by the strained voice. Protect your health, that is most important. Just consider grabbing footage and doing a video later when your voice is better. You have a great brand and have been building a ton of content. I love the nerd stuff and in-depth comparison, but the voice was definitely making me want to continue watching the video. Otherwise, love the content!

A more thought out, scripted video where you hit all the exterior items in a sensible order, then move to the inside would have been much better.
I would love a split screen edit side by side of new vs old cameras. Surprised I don't see anything like that anywhere. Would be nice to see them side by side to see the difference.
Would love to hear your opinion on buying a new gen 2 standard range ($80k) vs a used gen 1 large pack ($65-70k). I hope they release some info soon whether the gen 2 suspension can be retrofitted to the gen 1 R1S.

I would imagine that the rear door emergency release might be hidden because you wouldn't be able to disable it if kids were in the back. Most (4 door) vehicles have rear door lockouts to keep the passengers from opening the rear doors. Effectively child locks. Just a guess.
Its 100% a mid cycle refresh. Rivian soley calls its gen 2 because its easier to market and sell it like that. Cmon guys use your brain dont get fooled by marketing of all things. I mean check out the Sonata refresh vs pre facelift. Looked extremely different. Same thing with the S197 gen mustang which the 2014 model looked like a different generation compared to the 05 model when it first released. Actually the 2020 Santa Fe to the 2021 Santa Fe was called a "refresh" by Hyundai even though it rode on a all new platform, had different body panels, completely different inteior, all new engine and transmissions, added hybrid models, etc. So if thats a refresh the Gen 2 Rivian is also a refresh. I mean the platform is the same, the exterior and inteior look almost identical, and the battery/motors used are mostly the same.
Starting to think maybe Quad Motor might be 800V architecture? Just seems odd that Munro intervied RJ and they talked about 800V architecture and the Gen2 isn't getting it.
Users perceived of value depends on just that: your values. Personally, I value camera quality more than anything else on a car. If I can back up in a crowded parking lot with confidence, that's worth a TON to me. I'd take some shittier door quality for better cameras.
I'm still very intrested to see how Rivian will treat all the customers that tend to keep their Gnen 1 vehicles for another 10+ years. Will Rivian keep supporting them or just say sorry you can either buy a new car or go elsewhere.
