The relationship between feeling and thinking, affect and cognition has fascinated philosophers and writers since time immemorial, yet empirical research on this topic was relatively neglected by psychologists until recently. There have been many claims emphasizing the beneficial cognitive and behavioural consequences of positive affect. More recent work suggests that negative affect may also facilitate optimal performance in many situations, consistent with evolutionary theories suggesting the adaptive signalling function of various affective states. This paper reviews traditional and current psychological theories linking affect to social thinking and behaviour. A variety of empirical studies from our laboratory will also be presented, demonstrating that in many situations, negative affect promotes optimal performance in cognitive and social tasks, including tasks such as memory, social judgments, motivation, and strategic interpersonal behaviour These results will be interpreted in term of dual-process theory that predicts that negative affect promotes a more accommodative, vigilant, and externally focused thinking strategy. The relevance of these findings for affect-cognition theories will be discussed, and the practical implications of negative affect promoting improved social thinking and performance in a of applied fields will consider determine self-claim mental health
The need to belong, or to feel positively and consistently connected to others, has been conceptualized as a fundamental human need that underlies various cultural institutions, from religion to marriage, and is associated with emotional well-being. This affiliative motivation may have primitive powerful roots. Many scholars agree that throughout human history, being a member of a cohesive social group could mean the difference between life and death from any number of outside threats extent to which physical survival hinged on successful social bonds is also supported by recent research in social neuroscience. For example, reminding people of recent rejection experiences activates areas of the brain associated not only wit emotional pain, but with physical pain We are apparently biologically prepared to attend to and avoid social rejection much in the same way that we are motivated to attend to and avoid physical pain If being seen and valued are of paramount importance to human survival-physical and emotional-it is intuitive to imagine that fame, and the visibility and value it confers, may be considered the ultimate vehicle by which to accomplish these goals. Indeed, point out that in modern society, the fundamental need to belong may manifest in a ‘‘fundamental quest for fame’’motivated by the fantasy that fame may come with the promise of lifelong social inclusion. In a related vein, recent scholarship has shown that fame may be particularly appealing to those whose primitive anxieties about death have been aroused In different studies ,found that priming people with death anxiety increased interest in becoming famous, having a star named after them, and increased liking for a painting that was attributed to. The explanation for these findings, according to the authors, is that being famous provides a form of symbolic immortality directive of humanity need'$ time of goal'$

Kabir says, "The truth is you turned away yourself and decided to go into the dark alone.
Now you are tangled up in others and have forgotten what you once knew.
and that's why everything you do has some weird failure in it."

The point about unleashing creativity through the practice of meditation is something I can relate with. I want to share a story. I had learned the SKY breath work, was meditating a lot and even did the few silent retreats. After a while I started playing the keyboard, and I’ve played instruments before, and spontaneously, I started playing beautiful melodies and with so much peace and calm. I didn’t hang on to the outcome of what I was playing. So, these practices give back to us in beautiful gifts as our natural talents unfold.
