Great video, but let’s be honest: The people of Teahupo’o were not asked if they want to host the surfing competitions. On top of that, the organizers had to build a new judging tower in the middle of a reef destroying corals in the process - even though they already had an existing wooden judging tower. The locals called it another “symbol of colonial impression”. So let’s not act like all is fun and sunshine at these Games.
There is democracy in French Polynesia and the rights of the population are the same as in mainland France. If a majority of the population wants independence, they can move towards a referendum on self-determination/independence. Like the rest of the French overseas territories, and as some have already done in the past. Calling it a "symbol of colonial oppression" is completely hypocritical: they have chosen to remain dependent on France. These territories are no longer colonies since they were given the choice of staying or becoming independent. It's simply the government that imposes on such and such a city/region to do such and such a thing, as in mainland France. And some people agree and others don't, so they complain about it, which is perfectly legitimate.

In retrospect visiting any other hotels for that matter by getting a bug bed bug test and testing the area people would know whether they're there or not that is certainly a no-brainer!
@@nancyfarrell2947well it applies to anywhere you go then, not a specific issue in Paris.
@@zaydalaoui9397 yes I have nothing against France are any other country but there could be bed bugs in any hotel you stay in anywhere in the world it only takes 5 minutes for the rapid test to detect bed bugs the bed bug problem in France was televised in the news recently
ome on.. it was month ago.. you must be american to be so paranoiac
great video I learned a lot. I hope india can host olympics one day.
Am a businessman how can I go watch some of the Olympics games

Why is the Olympic opening ceremony and Ryder cup "infamous"?
Great video, though I think you don't know the difference between "famous" and "infamous". 🙂
Julien Alfred will be The First Saint Lucian athlete to win her first gold medal 🥇 and she makes history to finish her story at Paris 2024 Olympics July 26th and she is half british and half french woman 🇱🇨🇫🇷 Go 758

Wish they'd use the Tour Montparnasse as a venue. Best view of Paris b/c you don't have to see it.
How would they use it though? Sports climbing up the Tour Montparnasse
I’m not sure you understand what the word infamous means.
Fantastically informative video, but that speaking style takes some getting used to. Are all the videos like this? Also, did they get the Seine Poop Water situation fixed?
How many venues? 😵💫
I heard that there's Nuvevo Games...
I thought the football stadiums were far then came the surfing 😂
Its less than 3 months away from the summer Olympic and theres obly rendering?????
Where's the actual building??
I'm not an Olympic fan nor someone who watches them but u am excited
You want to see construction sites?
@@innosam123 Yes. Construction sites are real.
most of them are easy and quick to build. You can't build them too early because it will close the traffic. But For example, at la Concorde or Eiffel Tower , it already started this month (I don't know for the others)

So Paris plan to build them fast and quick overnight like refugees camp? Thats not very impressive.
Basketball ... in Paris and in Lille (near to the boarder of the V. French Republic, with the Kingdom of Belgium).
Men (12 teams): Europe 6; The Americas 3; Africa 1; Asia 1: Oceania 1
Group A: Spain; Greece; Canada; Australia
Group B: France; Germany; Latvia; Japan
Group C: Serbia; United States (Mainland team); South Sudan; Puerto Rico (US territory)
Let's be honest: only those who really care for surfing will go there, as the Olympics takes too short & many events happen at the same time.
@@jgr7487 Exactly, then why not hold the event in France (multiple French coastal cities offered to host the events)
Teahupo'o is already known for surf events though ? Obviously they were asked for it, as there are many sites in France yearning to host it too
@@thomas0822 it is hold in France. French Polynesie is a part of France😅
