    Excellent video as all your videos. For Spanish speaking people we can use THE PASSIVE OF "SE". Example it is alleged that Se afirma que, it is believed that se cree que, it is said that Se dice que etc. The most important thing here is to use the verb to be in Simple present, Simple past etc and the past participle of the verbs that Alex wrote in the video for example Assumed, believed, predicted,said, thought, postulated etc. By the way Alex, thank you for the wonderful job you've been doing.

    I am not sure about all these examples. Could anybody explain them to me? Why in the first sentence there is a past simple tense used after that and not a present simple tense? We still live in a heliocentric universe so shouldn't it be a present simple?

    Can you help me with it. In my book has this topic (opinion/Belief passive + that clause); The yeti is said by some to inhabit the Himalayas. My answer is: It is said by some that the yeti inhabit the Himalayas. Thanks Alex

    You'd want to use "whom" in this case, since it is being used as an object (rather than a subject). "whom" is the object of the preposition "of"

    Can I write the sentences on using present simple? For example the first: it was claimed by Copernicus that we live (not lived) in .....why do I have to use the past " lived "? The planets revolve around the Sun even now. The past is a rule?

    Quick question if someone can help! How necessary is it to use the word "that" in sentences like these? Is it grammatically incorrect to say, for example, "I thought you were dead!" "I believe I told you already." "I assume you know what I'm talking about." You'll notice none of these have the word "that" in them. Are these wrong? If they're right, then where do we draw the line?

      It's present simple passive.
      It is believed...(by many people)
      It is thought that...
      I hope this helps. Keep in mind you can use other tenses like past simple ("It was said...") and present perfect ("It has often been stated...").

      Adverbs of degree?...Hmm, a good idea for a future lesson. :) I have the notes written for it already, but I haven't recorded it yet. In the meantime, you can try googling "adverbs of degree" to see what other options are possible.

    And the second question:

    The man is alleged to have been
    driving at 110 miles an hour. Why "have been driving?" and not "had been driving"?
