once she sees that Breaking Point's conservative audience is pissed off that Krystal said we shouldn't hate gay people, she will backtrack. Guaranteed. She had to backtrack on the January 6th coup attempt because everything she predicted turned out to be completely wrong, to the point where it made her a joke and nobody on the left should EVER take her seriously after that happened.
Krystal: "So many times we have talked about how dishonest it is to find one example of something cringy and then make it like 'oh, this is a whole thing'" Saagar: "Totally" Also Saagar: "Nurses pushing hormones on kids and telling them not to mention it to their parents" I've heard about this a million times, but I have never seen a single article about any actual case of nurses doing that. I'm positive it must have happened once and conservatives jumped on it to pretend it's a generalized thing that "trans ideologues" want to turn schools into. Saagar is such a piece of shit he admits he is being dishonest, but since he did it before actually providing a dishonest argument it goes above people's heads. Fucking disgusting.
Or it's just completely made up. Doesn't even have had to happen once for conservatives to turn it into a talking point. Kinda like the big lie. Literally zero evidence that anything happened but conservatives are like "stolen election!" Ok...I put nothing past them. They say that CRT is being taught in elementary school for crying out loud.
Ive read quite a few stories from detransitioners, desisters AND happily transitioned folk that it's almost absurdly easy to get hormones in the US. One Planned Parenthood visit, that's it. So much for differential diagnosis by mental health professionals; necessary to rule out the numerous people who misconstrue psychological distress as gender dysphoria. At least HALF of kids end up "growing out of it" (desist, detransition); can refer to source for comparison of valid published studies if desired. Re schools, there absolutely IS "gender ideology" being taught--the Gender Gingerbread Person, and later Gender Unicorn, have been commonly used in k-5/primary school for roughly a decade. Hormones administered by school nurses sounds super sus, though.
"Trans ideology" what is trans ideology? Being transgender is not an ideology. An ideology is a structured set of beliefs. The only belief that makes a trans person trans is that their gender identity differs from their sex. You could maybe say that "transgender ideology" is the view that trans people exist, are not out to get you, and should be treated as anyone else, but that begs the question why they are so against this "ideology" being taught.
Maybe "trans ideology" is the idea that trans people exist and are human beings that deserve respect like any other human being. Not controversial for anyone but a bigot.

I'm bisexual, so I never had to worry about coming out to my abusive parents. But if I had found a way to con my parents into letting me stay afterschool for GSA, and one of my teachers outed me, the abuse and social isolation would've been so much worse.

He just meant that as long as your family accepts you, and you keep it low, he might let it slide. If not, untill you turn 18 and can support yourself, you're f-ed. Honestly, so many conservative arguments just come down to: just be born under more fortunate circumstances, so we don't have to know there are som issues in the society. Just be born in a family that accepts your sexuality. Just be born rich. Just be born healthy. Just be born in a safe, wealthy country. Just be born CIS. Etc.
As a straight white male ™ this is absolutely ridiculous, this idea that people are think teachers are saying "hey there's a group of people that face ridicule, physical violence and SA, are at increased suicide risks and face discrimination in all areas of their lives - isn't that cool man? Don't you want to face all those challenges too?" is just pure insanity. It's disgusting the way they're portraying people as some kind of creeps, in my experience people that go through these massive challenges are usually more accepting and non-judgemental than people that haven't. Theses bigots make me feel ashamed to be human sometimes, my only comfort is that this insanity hasn't yet made it to the UK.
I subscribe the general idea but have to denounce this: in my experience people that go through these massive challenges are usually more accepting and non-judgemental than people that haven't. Not in mine.
So by his logic here, Saagar would be in favor of just firing anyone on the basis of the group they're a member of, as long as there's some parent that objects to "[insert minority group here] ideology" being taught?
14:33 "You come to sex ed and we can talk about ideology all you want" Saagar acting like education about objective reality is "talking about ideology" because that's how _HIS_ side has been treating most of school (especially sex ed) longer than living memory. Vaush wouldn't have any reason outside of optics to hold back on him like Krystal does. She has to longevity of the show to worry about, and her bottom line as part of it. Not saying that's a good or bad thing, just a limitation. But I do think Vaush debating Sagaar in the tone he did with Charlie Kirk would be more beneficial, as the Breaking Points audience is basically 'enlightened centrist' conservatives who can't stop rambling about 'the value of civil disagreements'. Appealing to their supposed civil side may sway some of them.

The right says exactly the same. Progressives/liberals/leftists do "confession by way of projection." It's not a political tribe thing: it's just what people with limited self awareness necessarily do. They can't recognize their hypocrisy, bc they're willfully blinded to their internal inconsistency. Projection is an ego defense mechanism secondary to denial: "I can't be guilty of X, so they must be!" Anyone who values ideology over objective truth falls into this hypocrisy; it's unavoidable when stuck in binary thinking, bc reality is nuanced.
I see what you did there. You took the decades old adage of "every accusation of a democrat is an admission" and flipped it to attack conservatives. That's probably the most clever thing I've ever seen a leftist do.
Saagar made a weak and tired argument here. Repeating the cliche and goofy slogan of “trans ideology” over and over hoping that will scare people. Glad to see Krystal didn’t let him off the hook!!
WTF is trans ideology anyway? This isn’t a real thing. The right are masters at labeling things that don’t damn exist. And even if it did exist, educating kids on anything only creates empathy and understanding. It doesn’t make people trans. 🤨
I'm an RN in Texas, and licensed to work in several other compact states. It is 100% out of our scope of practice to 'push' for or tell patients to take specific, even over the counter medications. "Trans ideology" what is trans ideology? Being transgender is not an ideology. An ideology is a structured set of beliefs. Just remember the golden rule when it comes to conservatives: every accusation is a confession.
The right says exactly the same. Progressives/liberals/leftists do "confession by way of projection."
It's not a political tribe thing: it's just what people with limited self awareness necessarily do. They can't recognize their hypocrisy, bc they're willfully blinded to their internal inconsistency. All the nurses in my school district could do was give kids a cup of water or an ice cube lmao, I would be shocked about someone receiving Advil, no idea how anyone could believe school nurses are “pushing hrt”
Ironic; Republicans do believe, nurses are pushing hormones of kids.
For real, I had migraines as a kid and wasn't even allowed to take aspirin from the nurse without some form of permission.
The text of the bill literally prohibits "instruction . . . on sexual orientation and gender identity". GAY IS LITERALLY IN THE BILL. If it were just about sex education why would you only prohibit sexual orientation and gender identity? If it were not intended to be anti-gay, why did you call out only the traits that define that specific community?
Gay is literally not in the bill. It’s a dishonest renaming at best.
Tom u don’t have comprehension skills
@@tomc3677 when can kids learn about how conservatives tried to keep sterilizing gay people a thing in the US?
@@user-tz4jd9ul1y y u no read bill?
@@servoaugusta513 wait til you hear about how the mass vaccination campaign sterilized citizens of the world at the highest rate ever recorded in human history.
Btw, what does that have to do with anything? It’s pretty clear you can’t prove what I said false, because it’s true. So now you just assume I’m ok with gay people being sterilized?
All of this is so annoying at a Student Teacher. We are literally going into a profession where the expectation is you will 30+ students in class, 6-7 may have special needs and learning disabilities, COVID has set reading proficiency back two years for even some of the most academically gifted students, and you have a mountain of standards and benchmarks you need to reach. But instead of focusing on actual tangible issues in education like a lack of student engagement, the antiquated agrarian calendar, school buildings that are literally crumbling and have lead pipes, increased discipline against students of color for the same offenses white students commit, the fact that teachers are leaving at massive rates. We have to talk about shit that is in many cases literally just made up.
I still think the whole show is run by saagar and his guys, Krystal being at best controlled opposition
She sounds an awful lot like the Dems she criticizes doesnt she
i remember when the show first started, the more right wing fans were going after saagar for cozying up to a lefty and many questioned his right wing bona fides. But i think as the show went on, and he got more comfortable, he started taking off the mask and that led to the fans going in the direction of nazbol at best, and outright fascist at worst.
thats a good characterization given the entire concept began by a republican media outlet that wanted to get a younger crowd.
She's the new Alan Colmes
Just read the comments. Not a single leftist actually watches BP. It's a way for "centrists" and conservatives to feel like they're open minded.
How can Saagar defend “the don’t say gay” bill when he’s got the fruitiest tie? Man needs to reassess his priorities.
He has connections to Tucker, the bow-tie guy...
Oh shit! I didn’t even notice that! 😀
@@catibethp5745 Another red flag of Saagar.
the first time i heard about trans people was when i was with first grade. i was watching chopped on food network (best show on there btw) and one of the contestants was trans. they mentioned that “they were born in the wrong body” and my reaction was “wow, didn’t know that could happen!” and then i continued watching the show. like a normal kid.
That’s the type of “grooming” the republicans want to stop. Literally just trans people stating that they exist.
I wouldn't call Krystal Ball as based, but more stopped clock. This one of those rare times when she has the backbone to challenge Saagar, yet when she does speakout, Krystal does so behind paywalls, and that's without her backpedding for Saagar.
Yet Krystal Ball always wins the arguments. Strange how that happens.
Can’t complain about it being behind a paywall
If your kid can be convinced by a teacher to be gay or trans, then a parent would be able to convince them that they're straight and cis.
I wonder how long this "Based Krystal Ball arc" will last.
Until Vaush realizes he has no chance romantically with Krystal Ball.
@@themitraya8132 Really overestimating Krystal's desirability there
@@cosmosofinfinity but Krystal Ball is so far above that guy's league.
Probably about 38:55. Maybe a bit more if Vaush didn't look at the next video directly after this segment.
@@TheHeavyshadow what was the segment?
Does seeing Saagar Enjeti say "trans ideology" over and over again remind anyone else of Marco Rubio being unable to stop himself from repeating his talking point at the debate even after Chris Christie called him out on it?
Thank you for reminding me of that clip. I watched that in my HS junior year government class and we were losing it
It's not even a heated debate it's her being passive to bigotry.
Passive to bigotry would be going along with it, which she didn't do
This feels like a way to give Krystal lefty cred. He only uses talking point and then he gives up instantly
Lol yes that was their plan before airing, let’s fake a debate to please online twitter leftists , that’s a terminally online take.
Way to make the show look more bipartisan
I still like neither of them
they're total careerists, they're only there to promote themselves and not any real solutions
Yeah. I was just thinking about how I'm seeing a lot of comments specifically about them and very few about the actual subject. Naturally you'd see comments about them in a video the title of which has their names, but come on, there's too many people discussing Krystal adnd Sagaar personally and saying things that have nothing to do with the subject matter.
Saagar is _also_ actually a fascist, though.
Saagar consistently champions free speech. *Fascists ain't about free speech. Fascist regimes begin with censorship & vilification/ostracism of divergent voices bc that's necessary to coalesce the singular guiding narrative that serves as the backbone to the authoritarianism.*
The Corporo-State determines what the citizenry is permitted to say, and to whatever extent possible, believe. No censorship, no fascism.
@@psychegoddessoflight9358 please try being less painfully gullible. 😒
@@psychegoddessoflight9358 this bill is censors teachers who mention gayness or transness. The book bannings and attempted curriculum changes over the manufactured fervor of CRT were censorship. Southern states banning trans youth from socially transitioning is censorship of self-expression. Did Saagar play defense for any of those?
GSA groups were actually an issue in my conservative province in Canada. The fing cons wanted to out kids for joining 🙄 GROSS. Many kids suffer at home & the school provides support & protection. That environment of support needs to be there for ALL kids.
They might as well go around calling people "n*-lovers" for all the subtlety in their bigotry that has 😒
This is why I don't like calling Krystal a grifter, I think she genuinely means well and believes that what she does helps the left. I think rather than treating her like she acts in bad faith we have to point out more of Saagar's bad faith instead.
Also just a sidenote, just because a kid is scared to come out to their parents doesn't necessarily mean the parents are abusive or even homophobic. In my case I was scared to tell my parents because of anxiety and this was despite knowing my parents were accepting of LGBT people.
Saagar is so insufferable. He’s an authoritarian pure and simple
As someone who was in school with a trans kid who’s parents refused to accept their transition, the concept of a transition closet to change clothes is a great idea. Especially since, lets be honest, in high school these kids are borderline adults or at least able to make their own decisions more. They can at least decide what they want to wear.
Time for Krystal's annual lightest possible pushback against cryptofash Sogger
The nurses in my school were exactly like you said and you came in with a stomachache or headache, they sent you to a dark room with uncomfortable beds to chill for a little bit. Giving us an Advil or Tylenol was like a doctor prescribing Fentanyl. They very rarely did it. A nurse pushing testosterone is insane.
They believe in parental rights superseding a child's rights but only after it is a live human being.
Krystal was correct about something? Well shit
Saagar makes a 'trans closet' sound like that creepy coffin thing from Matilda. lol
Personally, I think Krystal and Kyle are naively blind to the shady character Saagar is. This is my opinion and include Kyle with this because he is included with Saagar. This guy I don't personally think he's an honest actor. He wears a mask. And in time he strikes me as someone who would disown the show in time. He is the only reason I don't watch their show. My 2 cents, I'm probably wrong but idc
Sorry, also my opinion Saagar " I agree with you but I disagree with you" is spouting right-wing conspiracy in this take. That says a lot to me.
One of my son's best friends does this clothes swap at school and events. If there is harm in supporting someone's choices then guilty and proud guilty.
Very proud of Krystal standing up on this issue credit where credit is due she would've been better than me there.
People are so gullible.
She makes an obvious take, the bare minimum, in years, and here come the "finally" "Kyle changed her" "proud of you Krystal" etc...
I mean no wonder their channel is doing well.
She's still on the show, this is just one video amongst how many...
The bar is very very low smh
You're right... I'm guilty of this as well. My comment was, "Well... It took her long enough to finally push back."
I grew up in Louisiana in the 90s and 00s where homosexuality was always a very taboo topic. I remember the first time I heard the word 'gay' was when I was 8 years old. I went home that day and asked my mom 'momma, what does gay mean?' and she said 'It's when a boy likes a boy instead of a girl'. When she said that, my first thought was 'That can happen?'. Until then it had literally never even crossed my mind as a possibility.
Now I'm 30 years old and gay. So it looks like what Florida is trying to achieve won't even work, it didn't work on me.
And they know it too. They can’t just come out with it anymore
Whenever they come up I always like to point out that following them after seeing them on Joe Rogan made me tje only human in history to vote Trump in the Oregon primary and then write in Bernie in the general.
Not a defense necessarily as I may have been the one in a million that they drove left, and I stopped watching them forever ago,, but I do feel some sort of something towards them that drives me to share this.
Anywho, just a perspective some may find interesting.
Have the best day guys. It's beautiful out in Colorado so go enjoy it if your here.

A nurse cannot give out hormones for or even advise a student to start hormones. Not only would she get fired, she would lose her license. That’s super super illegal, she is not a doctor - but on top of that these students are not her personal patient. So I really would love to see any example of an actual case where this happened with a school nurse, or anything similar for reference and details if anyone has it.
"Nurse pushing hormones"
They don't care if it's real or not. That phrase is just to be said to put it into another's head to spew out when they have an argument about the same thing. So fucking annoying.
This is literally the first time, throughout her entire media career, I have ever seen Krystal Ball not be a useful idiot for the Republican party. It still blows my mind that leftists can't see how she's [overall] doing Conservatives work for them. She's overall a bad actor on the 'left', but I am glad to see her FINALLY stand up against her fascist co-host... only took a few years LMAO.
You would have to be deep into a cult and way too far gone to have this take.
You haven't watched any Krystal Ball content, have you?
Krystal and Saagar have been a strong part of pushing pro-union sentiment to conservatives. At least give them that.
@@thomasdendtler4077 I've seen tons. She makes her own arguments for progressivism constantly without relying on "woke" stuff and while also downplaying the severity and popularity of the truly toxic woke stuff. If that is being a useful idiot for republicans then you must truly be in a cult.
Krystal Ball in a nutshell is basically "this woke stuff is pretty dumb but it's also fringe and not the biggest issue in the world and I will not rely on it to or let it stop me from making arguments for progressivism". I fail to see how that helps Republicans.
That's really a major achievement that I never would've expected from her.
But it's funny: the more I learn about Christianity and its brand of conservatism, the more staunchly secular, irreligious and left I become. Go figure!

Small language thing but all the times Vaush says Euphemism I'm about 90% sure he means dysphemism because euphemisms are phrases like "kicking the bucket" which is a better phrase than "dying" not worse. "Gender Ideology" is obviously worse than "teaching kids trans people exist"
