Well, just opned 2 epic chests with a 3x multiplier, both of then came with 4 royale kings, so 12 in total for each one. Before the last epic chest, i opened a common with 11 goblins. It really looks that the multiplier is useless for epics.
Paid 12k coins for a 4x multiplier while on a 15+ streak and got a Barb “Evolution” from 2 to 3 Stars and got a single baby. I paid 12k coins and got 4 babies… Don’t think I’ll be buying multipliers anymore considering I already had barbs at the super tier.
They really need to make it easier to get Ultimate units. The gap between Ultra and Ultimate is just unreasonable in terms of progression time and money. Edit: I love SB, it's my favorite Supercell game since it combines the universes, and I also don't like comparing Supercell games, but Squad Busters endgame seems a bit too unreasonable. I hope they reevaluate the endgame again in the future. I had a bunch of units Ultra and now an Ultimate seems out of reach no matter how much I grind... Like in CR or CoC, they have progression boosters like Books or Magic Items, and Brawl Stars gives hunks of progression through community events, not sure about Boom Beach or Hay Day, but SB stands out. I love this game, but I can't deny its very predatory as it now. As bad as it sounds, I hope the first release of Ultimate units is just a test for Supercell to see how many players are willing to by Star Chests at insane prices, and will make it easier in the future like other Supercell games.
I hate that Time out event. I always pop because I run out of time.Also me being in Squad league is not fun when all I have is 1 Ultra. And it's Shelley at least. Withy luck usually it would be someone like Dynamike or Miner or something. Haha 😂
Why does no one talk about chest cycles? The chests you get is already predetermined. So in my opinion most ftp players would really benefit with the multipliers when their chest is a rare or epic. Since 60% of the time it will be common chests 30% rare and 10% epic. Use them when you are going into one of those games.

Bro you didn't answer the question, you just exposed the facts. Spoiler: it's not worth it. You get much more value from buying tickets. The only 2 scenarios in which it's worth it is: 1. If you want to max a specific rarity. You'd have to know the chest cycle and when it's time to open a rare or epic, use the multipler. 2. If you have ALL characters of a certain rarity maxed. So if you have all commons at max tier, you would get more value from buying a multiplier and using it on rare and epic chests, rather than spending money to buy regular tickets and go through multiple common chests you don't actually need. Then again - progress got nerfed so you're probably spending 12k to get a 5x4 deal, not worth.
I had a 4x chest multiplier. I won the game in 1st place and got all the taps available. It was a common chest. I tapped like 8 times and all I got were 5 Heavy, which multiplied by 4 means I got 20 Heavy. Please tell me I joke about how unlucky I am!

You should use your multipliers just for epic chests.
You trade your coins with your time. Chest multipliers saves your time.
