I really enjoyed hearing all about your Fife outing, it sounds like there are some lovely places around there. Alan is such a lovely man and he seems very interesting and knowledgeable and so he must be a great companion to go on an outing with.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and adventures in Scotland. We enjoyed seeing them any interesting and colorful scenes, and enjoyed being part of this tour.
Your bravery at venturing out was rewarded with those lovely pictures...glad you wrapped up! Burntisland has lots of interesting things happening these days, markets, artist open days, artisnal baker, coffee roastery, such a shame you visited on a quiet day 😢
New subscriber here as one of our subscribers sent us your way as fellow Fifers 😄 This was fun, I also haven't explored much of Fife despite living here for half my life 🤣 looking forward to your other videos. I recommend The kiltmakers coffee shop in Ladybank if you haven't been. I haven't been in a few years so I hope it's still open 😅 I love the Kinghirn and Burntisland beach, in the summer they get very bisy though and Leven beach is better for the body boards 😊 x
Hi, Alan from the video here. It came from an old expression about needing a long spoon to sup with the devil, due to the devil being crafty and untrustworthy. It's basically saying that we would like to take the lion's share and you have to come prepared to deal with us.

Really enjoyed seeing Fife as I haven’t been there for 50 years. Definitely want to visit again. Thanks 🏴
Kirkcaldy Library also has a wonderful art gallery upstairs
Thanks, I’ll need to check it out!! 🥰
Yay for Alan being there- he has such a nice presence.
Being a Fifer I loved this! Thank you Shawna and Alan.
This is lovely. I like Fife and the small villages. ❤
Lunch looked nice😊
I'm really glad you enjoyed the coast of Fife. Even in the winter, it looks beautiful.
Without the videos, your storytelling of your outing was great 🙂🌟

Alan here. I love speciality coffee so it's a shame I missed out on that.
How great that Alan made an appearance! I love how you were dressed for an artic expedition and Alan for a slightly nippy late summer's day :D
It helps that I have similar insulation to seals and whales.
@@progneeber Noo! That's not what I was implying. :D It's the constant caffeine that raises your body temperature!
12:06 That's a pretty scenery
Could you go to forkland castle sometime? It was mary queen of scots favourite castle, and where here father got sick and died.😊

The Bonnie Kingdom receives the wanders 😂
I have a friend from Fife who told me “you need a lang spoon to drink with a Fifer.” I’ve never known what they meant 😁

Glad that a little bit of your day out survived 😊
